    Hello Mr. Ata. My name is Patrick, I am 42 years old and come from the Sauerland of Germany. I've been following your videos for years and you are the reason I exercise, I want to learn to planche! Have been training for it for years, consistently but without much success! Is it really enough to train twice a week for this? Could it be that I am not even able to make the planche? Thank you for your time and all the best! Please excuse my english, i used a translator!

      Hey Patrick! I've been training planche as well. I noticed a big improvement in my performance by using weights (full water bottles) holding them between my legs. So, if you are able to hold more than 20s tuck planche, add some weight and try to hold it for 10s, and increase your hold time until 20s. Then, you can add more weight or try a harder progression. Give it a try. I usually do 3 sets of planche progressions of about 20s, at least 2 times per week.

      The Project Calisthenics program is only about $30 for each level. Hopefully that's not too much? It's a great program.

      I've learned most skill from youtube and currently i can do one arm pullup. i am damn sure his program is fantastic but it's not a must. I have been progressing just from exercises from youtube.

    Why do the static holds second to the dynamic exercises?

  • @xCorvus7x
    @xCorvus7x 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why have you picked press-ups and pull-ups for the dynamics exercise instead of the planche and lever raises (the straight-arm versions, in a sense)?

    Can these bars be taken on a trip? Like cross country...are they packable? Because If they aren't I'm gonna go with something else that I found that is...that's the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on these.

    • @SimonsterStrength
      @SimonsterStrength  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In a car, yes... I routinely take them cross country. They will not fit in a suitcase though

      Depends on your goals

    • @tstreino
      @tstreino 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DeanArviv my goal is actually the planche push up but with perfect form locking out at the top, but ive heard u must always start with holds first in lever skills, so im kinda confused

    • @DeanArviv
      @DeanArviv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tstreino forget the rumors, train smart. Want to improve your ppu? Start with planche pushups! 💪🏻
      Edit: you can do some light/short holds in your warmup, but don't get tired from them.
