Destiny 1 & 2 player here. BIG UPS! I love it so much that I produced a tribute remix on Steinber's Nuendo 4.

Great session...might have been enhanced further by having the playback of the cues in stereo, rather than mono?

@ 11:30 mark, Does the industry prefer Cubase or Protools for Stems/Compatibility/and Programming? Do developers prefer getting the audio mixdown from Cubase or would a "Set/Stem" from Ableton be ok for organization/editing/programming purposes?

Id be interested to know if those 8 bar segments he writes in get broken up to be played in a variety of orders, and if so how does he deal with creating smooth transitions, with subtle things like whooshes that blend across, and use of reverbs as they are obviously going to bleed across into the next 8 bars. Are reverb channels stemmed separately or does he trust the game audio engineers to apply appropriate reverbs and levels to different stems?

Interesting question... I’m not 100% sure, but from how I interpreted what he said in the video, I’d assume it’s the latter. (Pre-baked reverb tails wouldn’t really work in an environment like this, I guess.)

no problem@@TimAdamsMusic ! It doesn't mean I'm using it all at the same time but it is nice to have a hefty orchestral palette loaded in Vienna Ensemble without having to think about RAM management for all the other goodies I load within Cubase.
But, just because I can, doesn't mean I should ;-) There's many ways to do this without all that RAM.

@@PieterSchlosser yeah i mainly run East West but with 24gb ram I do render in place or mix down of parts to save energy.. lol

@@RickyTehra This is a different kind of video. There are so much sources to find. Why should Steinberg make a video??? There are enough other channels. Have you looked for them?

If you choose a template for orchestral music in CUBASE it is a joke !!!! you get some german or italian names for instruments routed for MIcrosoft Wavetable Synth.. I think this is gonna be the last Cubase I'll use..
