Enjoyed this interaction, inclusion on so many levels. In particular how the creation story (Torah) has been included into "welcoming reality" thankyou!

So good. I spent 11 yrs in the Church of England and then ‘escaped’ to the charismatic church - really insightful. Thank you as usual.

Thanks Tim, yes, I’ve heard Brian before - oh my goodness our confirmation bias can blind us to His Kingdom on the earth! Love you guys - be blessed. Look forward to getting the book

The only thing I disagree with is that we actually do have an account where the nation of Israel actually did look around at the other nations; instead of saying … we don’t want to be like them - they actually said the opposite - they said we want to be like them - give us a king. The exact opposite of what Brian supposed they would say.

I'm a big fan of Brian McClaren and looking forward to his new book. I really like ImpactNations. However, I heard your brief update on your water project in Uganda with Sawyer Water filters. I have several years of experience with Sawyer filters in Liberia and they do not work long term. They might provide water for six to nine month IF they are used properly. If they are used for a household"s daily water needs, they will be non functional within a year. My family personally used them and we went through about two filters/year.

Jesus was very obviously a Platonist.

Turn to Christ and live, Mr. McLaren. If you were to die tonight, you would stand in righteous judgment before the God who created you.
Grace alone, by faith alone in Christ alone.
The same goes for your sin who is currently living in an abomination and rebellion against the God he knows exists.

      You are a fearful fantasist.
      What, is Christ?
Jesus was not a Christ. Most of the stories about him were made up to justify Jewish mythology.
Being sacrificed to carry your sins! What a disgusting idea. That, is the Jewish Scapegoat nonsense. Your sins are yours. And, sin begins when you treat people as things.
The god of the Garden was a metaphor for power corrupt politicians of the @3rd c BC. Adam&Eve is a bad retelling of the Eleusinian Mystery Ritual.
      Being judged is purely Egyptian.
Consciousness is fundamental. When you/your avatar dies, you get a debriefing. You rejoin your soul group. There is no punishment. No hell.
When you are ready, you will return here for another mission to learn love.
You see, entropy is a thing. To counter it we have to evolve.

I have a quick question when you speak about "what Jesus meant," why am I given different answers by different preachers? I mean it doesn't seem very practical if we are all supposed to be hearing the same thing yet we're being misled by mens interpretation? Sodom and Gomorrah is a tale about hospitality, but that is not how that story is being used by the church. Homosexuals are born when they need to be, but they are demonized by the church when they should be celebrated! That seems pretty "Godlike" to be able to adjust sexuality when the environment calls for it. Seems like something the church should celebrate it as something miraculous

Homosexuals are living in abomination and rebellion against the God whom created them and who’s truth they suppress in unrighteousness. This would include McLaren’s spiritually dead son.
They need to repent of their sin, and trust in the grace of God alone, by faith alone in Christ alone.
Scripture declares what we need to hear not what we want to hear.

Excellent discussion! Kingdom of God doing as Jesus did, doing the Father's will (LOVE) on earth. But watch out not for the unbelievers, but more so the Evangelical/Literal Bible reading Fundamentalists. They who like in Jesus's time, rather placed the authority in the written word (dogma) rather than the LIVING WORD "within" ourselves to which the scriptures is meant to be a witness. Galatians 1/16

Read The Lost Art of Resurrection by Freddy Silva. And, YT Tom Campbell and Donald Hoffman. A little bit of Quantum Physics would help. Specifically the Double Slit experiment.
AKA the collapse of the wave function.
