- I still have some modifications to do. I forgot to mention how people upgrade the battery on these because the factory one sucks!!! I’ll make a video on the rear sprocket change as well. Thank you all for the likes and comments glad I’m able to help! Be safe and enjoy the ride 🤙🏻
Shrink wrap and a zip tie will work on those wires.
Hey. I don’t know if you mentioned this already. But I saw a video with the same problem you have about the “sticking” button and the guy said there’s a screw underneath and he just loosened that up and it works fine now. Maybe that would help you.
I didn’t know that but I already got a new switch in the mail 😂
Sir: What is your height and inseam and can you flat foot? Thank you!
@@MichaelWhite-cx4ho I’m 6’3” I can still flat foot. I don’t remember my inseam size 😅
@@CheapBikeOwner Thank you, Brandon. I'm 5'10". A 33 inch seat height works well for me. I believe the Templar is 36 inches. A bit tall for me, but where there's a will, there's a way!
@@MichaelWhite-cx4ho of course and exactly!
Please, tighten the chain. 👍
Your starter push bottom sticks because the bottom screw is too tight. If you lose it a bit, I will stop sticking.
Like the bike but not the tires. I would ride mostly street, so I would want a more street friendly tire. Good video by the way.
Thanks man! I’m gonna get a more street based tire soon. I want a tire capable of mainly on road and some light off-roading
Thankyou for the reply. I really like the color combo. Good luck with the bike.@@CheapBikeOwner
@@scrambler69-xk3kv of course and thank you!
This is a good video Brandon keep up the great work ✌
Thank you!
I have 1 and it Needed some new tires so I went with tusk D. sport tires And change the oil again at 35 miles New and it was New and it was very metallic so I'm glad I did itI'm going To change it at 100 miles next week to see if the metallic color is still there. Otherwise I'm very very happy with this motorcycle!
I still have yet to change out my tires😅 but it’s in the list!
Hate that this model doesn't have a kick starter. Be sure to practice bump starting it just in case somethin goes wrong with the electric start system.
Yeah I’ve already had to jump it at my house just yesterday to leave for work. Need to replace the battery
Are you still running the stock jets on that carb and do you get any decel popping when letting off throttle? I'm running a 42 pilot, 120 main and a needle shim. I'm in OR, so sameish sea level as you. Bike runs damn well but I get a little bit more decel popping than I like. I think it might just be due to the kinda crap exhaust and either it's pulling in some air or I'm a bit rich. Might just run it and not worry. For the cost, these things are pretty nice, I've got two other bikes (fz07,Drz400) but wanted a low cost trail bike. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it, ride safe out there!
Yeah I’m running stocks jets. Yeah I do get pops. I can’t remember right now what the jet and needle size is on the carb as they come but I haven’t touched it. It could be the exhaust. Thanks man you do the same!
Liquid electrical tape works great for sealing those connectors.
@@johnsilvers5883 I honestly never thought of that!
@CheapBikeOwner It's pricey but works great. Used it on my truck wiring harness when splicing in a trailer plug. Lasted for many years. I'm considering buying one of those motorcycles. What's your opinion on the bike?
@@johnsilvers5883 it’s a great beginner bike. I used it to commute an hour to work everyday. Not necessarily meant for that but it did the job lol. I don’t have it anymore I sold it
@CheapBikeOwner Just starting back to ridding after 30 years. Just looking for a bike to bum around on and off road around the farm. I'm 6"2 and about 240. Would this be a suitable bike for a guy my size? Thinking about get the Templar X.
@@johnsilvers5883 yes it would. You can adjust the spring height and dampening
Keep doong updates. Im curious how the sproket will change your speed. Seen some guys say the x will do over 70, i forget what they had it geared at tho.
I’d like to get up to that speed 😅 but I’ll definitely keep the videos coming!
Better than Supreme gas, use Ethanol free if you can.
Hello sir can you make a video of you standing beside it I’m 6’3 as well and I would like to see somone my size standing beside it
I think in my first video I show myself sitting on it
Loosen the screw under the starter switch, it should fix your sticking problem.
It did!
The screw underneath the start button is too tight....back it off 1/4 turn at a time u till the button stops sticking....
At 9.25-1 compression you should not need premium fuel. 18 HP and a 6 speed should do more than 63 mph.
The Lifan kxp 250 is 20.5 HP fuel injected 6 speed. It will run 75 mph for most people on a flat no wind. Beefier rims handlebars & more. Plus 2 yr 12k mile warranty. But it costs a couple $100 more.
I’ve heard of Lifan before but never looked into them. That model sounds better then this😅
Hey buddy what’s up. I’m wondering how are the gears set up on the gear shifter. Is it up Down neutral then up speeds? Please respond I might buy this bike :(
1 down (up to neutral) then 5 up. 6 speed.
Loosen the bolt underneath the button!

@@jesusapariciosilva what’s a nibbi short release throttle?
can you get the bike to go faster than 60 im looking into buying one
Yes you have to install a smaller rear sprocket
@@CheapBikeOwner where would i buy it?
@@xnzvipex my first video I have a link to where I bought mine. Amazon is great!
The bike should go more than 60 stock if it’s the 6 speed it should do 70 at least. I have the original Templar 250 and it gets up to 63 but I’m 200 pounds
It gets up to the mid 70’s on a good that road 😅
Confusus says you a fool😮
Bro what
The reason im getting the m is to have a backup kicker,,,i have the apollo db 36 deluxe ,,,supermoto...and i love that bike its been great ...but this setup is too good to pass up for the price....the starter solenoids and batteries are junk in china bikes
Yeah I’ve noticed personally the batteries and starter solenoids are trash. Sometimes it’ll struggle to start 😂
Did it come with oil for the bike
@@tylercohen7776 no just a small baggy of grease
We also have a new Templar X with a severely wobbling front wheel as speed increases. I can't determine if "out of round" tire or wheel. Can anyone verify if these type of 21" dual sport tires/ wheels can be balanced at a repair shop. I never heard anyone getting these types of wheels/tires balanced. Thanks.
I need to ask around about that. I’ve never gotten a bike tire balanced
It's either the wheel needs to be trued or balanced or you could have an issue with the tire itself
Just add balance beads to the tube. It should fix that issue.
It’s the rim lock that’s causing it to be way out of balance. You can remove it if you’re not running low air pressure.
You can, and should, balance any bike's wheels if you're doing a good amount of highway riding. That is where you will notice it, and where it can bite you in the ass if it gets really bad. You can true a wheel with some simple tools you pick up at a motorcycle shop, or just a small wrench. If you find a good one the mechanic will even tell you how to do it yourself. You basically just tighten or loosen the spokes. You can probably find videos on youtube how to do it too. It's a pretty simple fix, and it's something you need to know how to do and check often, as spokes will get loose and wheels out of true as you do more offroad riding.
How much was this bike?
2,022 shipped to my door
Is this an electric bike?
@@Dominik-lf2gy no lol
Did You Get The Certificate of origins?
Yes
@@CheapBikeOwner Did You Purchase It On Amazon Or The Company Website
@@LujeriaTimePiece I bought it from powersportsmax
If it has nylon value guides do not run premium in it
I have no idea what type of valves it has
Get a Chinese knock off muffler at the fmf is overpriced 😮
i pur a 40 t it will run 70
Just installed a 42 tooth rear sprocket on it and got up to 70 on the highway. Check my recent video!
I tell ya what, seems like everyone who has one of those Chinese bikes..has the same problems..bent Rims, leaky gas tank etc.. probably stop buying poor quality bikes
Leaky gas tank?
@@CheapBikeOwner right, because they do leak
@@kevin2298 I haven’t heard of that 🤔
