It's actually not that uncommon of a name in italy
Your still able to download yuzu, almost all its versions are archived, and most firmware and key sites still offer stuff for yuzu. Its just the servers were shut down for both citra and Yuzu, and updates ceased

If you get sued by Nintendo, they will teach you a lesson you will NEVER forget!
1st lawsuit makes sense
2nd Lawsuit more of the stores fault but still a bit of his fault because he shared the file
3rd if Yuzu was letting people play the games illegally then it’s a fair lawsuit
4th Maricar would be a ok name but wearing the Nintendo costumes for the company makes a bit more sense for a lawsuit
5th if Nintendo sued that would be 100% a fair lawsuit, but props to Nintendo for not suing for once
6th if blockbuster didn’t print the copy of the manual then i feel it would be perfectly fine
7th This is Nintendo just being stupid and not wanting people to play how they want

Exactly and finally! A real person with an actual brain that knows the truth about the lawsuit stuff.
I've also heard a lot of things have been debunked as well during their suing years and for a good reason as well.
- The Super Smash Bros Community has been awful in 2020 and is still awful ever since cuz they have terrible people behind the scenes that are liars and groomers, technicals made a video on the real reason why Nintendo doesn't support the Super Smash Bros community
- The Joy-con Boyz situation was actually a scam this whole time and it really broke my heart after found that information out myself
- Pointcrow *monetized his mod* along with his TH-cam video and Moon Channel explained a good situation about it.
- Gary Bowser deserved the punishment because he did something extremely stupid and I find it a laughable embarrassment People are defending a criminal for doing something he shouldn't have done.
- Yuzu monetized their emulator while the switch is still being sold to the public and had patches behind a paywall on patreon
The 7th one depends how a person uses it, if they use it to win games easily then it’s bad, but if they use it to do small changes that don’t affect the gameplay then it’s ok.

EmSwizzle, you forgot Logan Thirtycare.
He had an old TH-cam account called “SuperMarioLogan” where he would post Mario videos. Nintendo didn’t like this and said, “Hey, he’s using OUR characters!” But instead of suing him, they sent a cease and desist.
After the cease and desist, he’s still on TH-cam posting videos on a new channel called “SML”. He uses his own characters now.
Nintendo will just sue ANYONE that copyrights or makes paid Nintendo games free.

Well gary bowser wasn't sued for creating mod chips he was arrested for piracy and distribution of copyrighted material although Nintendo would have loved it if they could have sued him for the mod chips

It's kind of a necessity for them to as they own an intellectual property or product
NOT doing so allows bad actors to profit off their work, muddying the waters on say, what's an official mario game or not (john mcwario could put out a game named "super mario SEX!" and, if nintendo took your advice and DIDN'T step in to protect their IP, that's going to impact the way a lot of people start to see the mario series)
It'd also give the impression to other companies like microsoft and sony that "hey, we're cool with other people doing this!" and you'd get gritty super mario combat evolved generic lootbox shooter on the xbox pumped out year after year
Same thing applies with them suing over emulation, modding consoles, etc
whatever your take is on emulating old games, that's whatever, but from the standpoint of a company: random people are putting up a potential product that YOU made and YOU want to sell, for free
it's illegal and results in zero money going to the people who made the games, so taking legal action to set a precedent and recoup any losses is a more than acceptable response
Nintendo are generally more generous than people give them credit for - Japanese copyright law would really allow them to sue up the wazoo for any real unauthorized use of the IP, but they tend to leave sites like gamebanana (modding community), a lot of soundtrack uploads, and even let's plays alone
There's also game genie for the game boy, genesis and game gear
You see, Nintendo is very strict on what platforms their games run on. And they are known for being pretty aggressive in terms of lawsuits. For context, they only want their games on their own consoles and on mobile

4:15 iirc it was actually addressed out of court, if yuzu was, in fact, taken to court, it would've established that "emulators are illegal" as common law, which isn't good to both people who play legal dumps and pirates.

Unlike the people that got sued, I don't actually monetize my TH-cam channel or make money off their IP from my videos considering the fact that I actually have a job outside of TH-cam and I just make my videos for free.
