(im sorry for the weird question XD im making the jacket myself, but i want to find the best way to close it, i prefer something that you dont see the closing since it has to be symmetrical) im sorry if 1 of these questions are already asked

I am cosplaying death the kid for a convention in a few months. I have a black wig that I could paint, but I was wondering if you know if the paint comes out. My sister needs the wig to be completely black for a convention that is going on a few weeks after mine.

Since its already pretty short you shouldn't need to cut it. If it is a bob with short bangs, all you can do is spike them the best you can. If it is a bob with long bangs, then you can trim it to a length you like for spiking. Bob's usually curl under so you would want to curl the ends out to get Kids flip out but only if the wig is heat resistant. If it is not heat resistant than all you can do is use a hair dryer on warm (NOT Hot) being careful to watch the hair for damage.
I personally have not tried to remove the paint from my wig but if the paint you use says that it is washable on it, I don't see why it wouldn't. I have painted a persons real hair with washable acrylic before that was washable and it seemed to come out fine. You may just have to soak it in water for awhile and gently work it out of the wig without pulling on the hair. If it is a heat resistant wig then I think it would be okay to use hot water but if not then just warm water.

I have seen a couple female DTK versions where they used long wigs and curled the ends with a curling iron. I would try to keep the top part of the wig flat for painting. I would try searching the internet for images as inspiration.

As far as Maka's button I used oven-bake clay and acrylic paint. I used a bottle cap to cut the shape of the button and a pen to make the button holes.

The longer the paint stays on the wig though the harder it will become to remove. You may need to soak it in hot water with shampoo for several times. I've never tried it myself, but you could probably replace the white acrylic with Halloween white hairspray. Otherwise do the same thing. You would probably have to shield more of the wig of you used hairspray.
I loved this video but I think the white lines should have been a bit thinner. Showing a little more black in between. Other than that I loved it. Good Job. ^-^
Okay lastly I used a basic acrylic paint. I didn't buy anything fancy. Just make sure it is a true white and I used an angled brush for a straighter edge. Well I hope I helped a little! Thanks again for your compliments and good luck with you! If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Hi crazyboonana, I believe I mentioned this in the video but I used scott tape for creating the lines and then used white acrylic paint to paint the lines. Hope this helps.
Hi! Sorry if I am a little late, its seems my inbox is refusing to notify me of new comments. The jacket I got was from a thrift store so all I added was the white squares. The white squares are fabric that has been sewn into little rectangles, make sure that the edges won't fringe. After I made the little rectangles I simply sewed them on the jacket. If you are going to make the jacket I believe you can find a pattern at a local fabric store (this would be better for getting a nicer fit).
Hello! The song titles are listed at the end of the video they are by Ronald Jenkees called Derty and Throwing Fire. I have not tried to wash my paint off so I don't know for sure if it comes off but if your wig is heat resistant I would soak it in steaming water to try and remove it. Make sure to rinse the wig and change the water when the paint starts to come off otherwise the whole wig will look grey.
Hi Hinatameerkat!!!! If you are still curious as to the length of the wig I got it was the Chronos 14" wig. I would not get a wig any shorter than that because it fell just right for me when I tried it on plus if you want to modify it yourself you need a little room to work with. I used washable acrylic paint and I didn't mix it with anything. This method can also be done with real hair. Hope that helped!
