    This is fantastic. I am taking Biblical Hebrew with the Institute of Biblical Studies online, so I can read the Hebrew, but I don't have it memorized. As part of my conversion process to Judaism, I recite this prayer daily. I have numerous ברכות memorized.

      G-d is not a man.
      G-d cannot die.
      Any god that can die, is no god at all.

    Now I know the way you pronounce it.And I see the transliteration, but I was taught that.
    A dot on the side of the "ו".. Meant the sound..."ou".. This is confusing, can anyone clear this up for me?

    Because the name is pronounced adonai-our L-rd. If you pronounce the name of the One the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, you invite judgement. Choneni, Elohim.

    You display the Hebrew characters of the Tetragrammaton, but show the "translation" Adonai. I understand the reason why you would not wish to vocalise the Tetragrammaton, but why not explain that it is not pronounced Adonai?!

      Why not pronounce the most beautiful and powerful word in the universe. However, I thank you for showing the divine name .

    Six words like a six branches star. 4 words in the middle are on the same pattern as the famous 4 letters Name. Ioud for Israel, H for Hashem, vav for Eloheinou. All these 4 words/letters are one/all.

    Shema prayer is Jewish prayer or hebrew aramaic is posible have twisted in praying. Jews did not know how to pronunciation the name of holy god spirit יהוה‎ without niqqud thousand thousand year and muted the name of god by using " sacred name" .The true prayer is come from Israelite hebrew name of Jacob not to name of Jew hebrew aramaic.. twisted is a problem.

    *Why should anyone pray in Hebrew?*

    • @CrazyRev
      @CrazyRev 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Perhaps a Jewish person!!! Perhaps because they are fluent in the language!! Perhaps because they have been asked to do so!! My mother-tongue is English, But I sometimes pray in French!

      @@CrazyRev Thank you, yes, these are the only good and the only biblical answers 🙂
      Many well-known people believe that prayer is more effective if they memorise Hebrew prayers and babble them as 'prayers' - without understanding what they are actually saying. Ironically, these prayers are without any good effect, because their faith is based on magic and not on God, because God understands every dialect perfectly 🙂
