Thx. For the video. My problem is the motor that drives the keyless entry in the drives door is bad. Want to change but it costs 130 for an aftermarket, and I don’t have the patience right now to dig back into the door panel. Also, just a note to bill, my pass lock has not gone off since I reset and sprayed contact cleaner on the connectors….kudos bill.
Awesome, this fixed my issue. Thank you soooo much!. Also, as an fyi, my Keyless fuse was not even blown, just needed a reset. Pulled it out, pushed it back in and all was good again. This was on my 2007 Tahoe. Keyless fuse was that 10 amp red one at the bottom that he mentioned first.
This was really good except for the fact he literally pointed out about a dozen fuses to check. Just check the owners manual and they will tell you which one or two is the door lock fuse. LOL.
I have a 09 chevy the keyless entry works fine and unlocks my doors . My drivers sider unlock and lock doesn’t work so I thought it was just a switch so i swapped it out for my passenger side unlock and lock switch but it changed nothing
I have replaced quite a few actuators, but I'm no expert. I think your issue has nothing to do with the actuator itself. It's probably the wiring or a switch. I could be wrong, though. I am facing the same issue right now, with front locks working sometimes, while back works all the time. I have the big, expensive switch, though, so I'm trying to rule out everything else.
@@juniorlopezmusic2067 I think (THINK) that I have a bad wire in the wiring harness boot between the door and the truck body. The lock seems to change behavior at different door positions. I haven't looked into it yet.
@@juniorlopezmusic2067 Maybe so. There is a hot wire all the time going to both sides for the door locks. It has to be hot all the time because you can operate the locks at any time. I was reminded of this when I was replacing the fuses I inspected and heard a click. Remember, the driver's side usually gets the most wear. A wire in an unused door could go bad, though. How hard was it to get into the boot?
So basically check all the fuses sounds like a great idea if you don't know what which fuse it is
So basically, if you check every fuse under your dash, you might find a fuse blown.

So you mean check all fuses?
I have no power going to those fuses, where does it get the power from

All my switches work sometimes and sometimes they dont can it be the door actuator itself?

byrd4mgt thats my exact problem i opened up the boot today and couldnt find any broken wire u think it can be on passanger door too?

I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado and I try to use my keyless start, I can hear it try to turn but it doesn’t start any ideas?
sometimes it will try but it won’t engage starter if you have a check engine light on
Did u find out why? I click my remote lock 2 times and lights will turn on , sometimes make alarm go off and radio turn on
My locks wont work with the switches but i can hear them try to work when i shift in and out of park. Any ideas?
I say try because its faint but i can hear them but the locks dont move.
