- People christmas shopping in downtown Aalesund had troubles crossing the street today. The storm "Ivar" was blowing things and people around and police had to assist people in moving around.
One man blew off the sidewalk and into the street in an intersection downtown Aalesund earlier. An ambulance was required and the police is now present in the streets, to follow the development and help out where needed.
The storm is continuing towards Trondelag where 20 000 people now have lost power, and buses and boats are suspended. The police are also urging people to stay away from the downtown area in Trondheim.

I once skipped class because the wind was so strong i couldn't walk when i got out of the bus near the school 😂 I gave up and sat on the grass and my friend had to tell the teacher i was sitting in the grass when he asked where i was. It's my home town. What you don't see from this footage is that the town is literally only a few hundre meters wide at that spot. Behind those houses is the sea, and behind the camera man there is sea. There is literally nothing there to blow in the wind.
And there are constantly strong winds at exactly that spot, so everything there is bolted to the ground. A few meters to the right in the video is a row of trees that have grown at a 45 degree angle because of the constant winds.
And also, norway is world leading in recycling. Everyone does it, and people, often criminal youth, are employed to clean the streets.
But yeah, there is literally nothing in the area to even be grabbed by the wind because there is ocean on all sides. Not streets, homes, fields or forrest - the atlantic ocean.
It's called Ålesund.

This is normal wind in Wyoming or at least not unusual wind. My grandma used to say that if the wind ever quits blowing, we’ll all fall over.😂
If you ever encounter wind like this: Dont try to walk if its too strong to stand on your feet, find something solid and hold on or lay on the ground. If you can barely walk, always turn your left/right shoulder to the direction of wind blow, that way your body will be more resistant to wind.

I am an American who is concerned about police corruption and brutality here in the US, but in cases when they are dealing with actual criminals, I guess I cannot blame them for being violent. I also couldn't blame any innocent civilian (the people I would most prefer) for being violent with criminals. Anyone who is actually a criminal does deserve brutality even if it leads to their own fatality. It is all a criminal knows or understands and it's the only effective means to teach them the lesson they need. In cases where it leads to their death, it might be the only surefire way to stop such a person from victimizing more innocent people.
With Norway on the other hand, I'm sure both cops and civilians can be gentle with their fellow man since there is probably a lessor concentration of criminals within it's borders.
