Oh yes my motherin law always said you clean silk lampshades by hand and let air dry outside on a windy day... she was right!!
Made me want to try fake plants... I have avoided them bec of the cleaning seemed difficult😅

Dad and his family grew up using firewood a lot in the winter. I love to smell wood burning. He also used to gather small pieces of wood placed in an old large coffee can add about 2 inches of kerosene to soak into the small sticks to easily start up the fire. Worked every time.
Instead of watching you clean I should be cleaning, lol! Thanks for inspiring me to be more thorough! God bless you!

Hello I'm Vera from Northern Ireland. Thank you for sharing this video I really enjoyed it as I'm stuck in bed but when I'm better I have so much to do. I think I'll make a point of treating myself to a seesion watching you on you tube when I've managed to make some progress, however small. I love your dogs, ours is a big strong Springer spaniel and he is very lively but as he is only 2 I pray he will settle down before I get so frail he becomes a danger. I always had dogs but never expected to become so ill or frail just yet though I am 63 so not a kitten by any means. I so love your sweet voice as so many presenters yell and I find that aggressive and rude and even intimidating... there I'm really showing my age now! ❤❤❤

Hello Randi,thanks for another great video.
Another way to dust the lampshades is with a hairdryer. It's less likely to damage the lampshades too, since it's not as powerful as the blower. I usually use a feather duster.
Just a tip. I use a lint roller for dusting my lampshades. That would be much easier than taking them outside to use the blower and it works really great.

Great ideas keep silk flowers n lamp shades clean
During winter months I use lint roller to pick up dust from lamp shades

I clean all my lampshades, baskets, etc with my husband’s air compressor! I thought I was the only one that cleaned like that!

For not wanting to get motivated you did well! I love watching your hummingbirds…so many come to your feeders at the same time…if we have more than one there is fighting…😞 but they have left for the season so need to wait till next spring! Did you say you added hibiscus powder to make water pink? How much do you add? I like the look of it you can see the levels better!
Hummingbirds are feisty wee creatures. 😂 very territorial. Always fighting with each other. Sometimes I have to duck to get out of the way. 😂 I’m still working out the details of the hibiscus thing 🤷🏼♀️ I’ll let you know when I get it worked out. Take care! 🥰
Hi Randi, the weather is slowly heating up here finally! The growing season does bring its fair share of work but it is so nice to be out in the sunshine. Now to juggle keeping the house in top shape while still completing all the yard work and projects 😁 Have a great week 🥰
What kind of soap and water do you use to clean your faux plants? What a great idea. You’re so fortunate to have all your hummingbirds because all of mine that were here all summer have migrated already. Thanks for a great video. Have a great weekend.❤
Hi there! I mix equal parts vinegar and water in a 20 oz bottle and about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of dish soap. Too much dish soap, and it will never rinse out. 😂 the birds stay year round. our first frost isn’t until December, but it doesn’t drop below 32 very often… Thanks so much!

I bet your back porch is a great place to read. I am excited as well for the cooler weather coming. I have plans to shop vac my screened porch. Hopefully replace cushions for our furniture so that I can sit and relax outside.

Thanks for your Friday inspiration videos. Where do you find your larger faux plants. They’re really full and nice. I think I’m going to switch back to faux from real because mine don’t look so good in this house. I wash my faux greenery in sink with soapy water also. Easy to keep up. Have a great week😊
I love live plants, but I started switching to artificial plants because of the maintenance and light limitations. 🤷🏼♀️ but Costco gets really nice, big trees, so I keep an eye out for them. Happy cleaning!

In Slovakia is also getting colder... especially nights and morning. We already have like +10°C... you would freeze in here 😅🥶 and fog last almost till noon. Days can still get pretty warm though...+25°C... so still summery with the touches of fall 😁😀. It's my favorite weather...🙃. In the morning when you go to work, you need warm clothes...you almost need a winter jacket...and after work you're going to die from the warm temperatures and your warm clothes 😅😂😂😂. Great... no no I'm kind of kidding..😂😅. We are use to it 😊.
