The classic intro and the classic fading at the end... it was such a well written and produced song. This is the part of the EP where realization and acceptance sets in. Goodbye isn't always a bad thing but an opportunity to be free and be you again. The lyrics with this one are so good that I consider this probably the best in the EP when it comes to how she penned those words. And noticed the word play also, instead of saying "history" at the end she said "her-story".. That's woman empowerment there.
For me, this song has a 1970s vibe yet is also current. It is my favorite visualizer on the EP along with now I'm the fool video. It is very inspirational in the lyrics, another reason I like it so much. A couple of years ago Angelina sang the theme song for the movie The Hating Game. Later in the song she also does some real rapping. It was a clue of things to come.

There hasn't been an accumulation of Grammy worthy songs on this level since Amy's Grammy winning album 'Back To Black'.Both these superb artists bring forth 'deep' and 'profound' lyrics with Amy staying tin the 'Jazz/ R&B' lane, whereas Angelina veers into a multi-genre extravaganza of sound that is so intricate and complex the listener can't help but be mesmerized by her vocal agility throughout the 'EP'.

You are wise bro to quickly decide that all of the songs on this EP are your favorite, I came to the same conclusion after listening the EP three times... My dear buddy Poolhallshark tried to figure out only one actual favorite, it took him several weeks and he almost lost his mind about that task, I was afraid he'd soon be delivered to a closed mental health institute, he had a new one every day, or every hour, and started to mix them up, he said things like "Good In Diamonds" is my favorite, no, now I'm sure "Fire and Goodbyes" is my absolute favorite, and so on, it was really scary... I don't ask him anymore because I don't want to break him... But in my opinion he really should concede that all are his favorite, would give him inner peace and complete relaxation... Like I said she just getting started, Republic just finished her own private studio and she has written over a 100 songs by now, when she released the EP she told us these 6 were from a 100 she has written but that was July, im sure she add to that count since!
