      3:10 He says "Now you're father is still alive, (yes) and he must be very proud of what you've achieved" don't twist it to make him look bad, we don't do that. He said that as a matter of fact it wasn't a question although Satya bothered with a yes.

    • @rishipalbhatia
      @rishipalbhatia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      Lucifer Morningstar you're right. It could be an assertion instead of a question. I hadn't heard the "now" before.
      Regardless, it's a tad bit impolite to assert that someone's father is still alive.

    • @oneforallah
      @oneforallah 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@rishipalbhatia Indian's in general go to extreme lengths and do stuff to make their parents happy - good grades, trying for a government job, gaining societal respect, get married to a person of their liking, have kids, always ask for their input, account their liking etc .. and Satya especially talks about his dad a lot even when he has talks in India or abroad so I think the interviewer might have followed up on his pattern and put that assertion. Although I agree it would have been super awkward and impolite in any other case. Here it's more like he is subliminally asking Satya does your dad actually know of your success and how truly significant you are to the world ? by saying your "dad must be proud"
