I’m honestly most disappointed in the track creator as they basically removed the feature to go back to previous part of your track and change the jumps. Even if the track is completely straight
Really? I can still go back and switch out jumps in sections without deleting the entire thing. Sometimes you have to move it back and forth over the spot you want to put it to make it highlight correctly and work.

It’s like old (forget what game) where you actually felt a nice burst almost when you shortened up and landed a downside perfect. Thus if in a rhythm in 250s can get a downside burst to clear over the next whatever. Instead of mid landing regular momentum. And for some reason it happens when landing into some faces too

I played it last night at launch and so far it’s pretty good. It’s way too early to tell if it’s the best. I suggest making a full review about a month from now once we all have some time on the game and once we master the physics.
MES1 and 2 have gone on sale. Got the first for $11 I think, and the 2 for $23 including all the DLC. My real only complaint about the first one is that the AI was too easy. Messed around in Time Attack for a couple hours, hopped into Career, and went undefeated on the 250E on the hardest difficulty and settings minus Semi-Automatic transmission. Loved the air physics, and the case physics were passable since they still slowed you down. Cornering felt amazing although you could cheese it a bit as you mentioned jumping into them sideways. Whoops were also too easy. Outside of that, I loved MES1 and think it's the best Milestone MX game so far. MES2 though is just weird. Cornering and braking feel off, whoops are tougher but also do weird things and randomly jump you over 5 of them without slowing you down, and the case physics are awful. You just crash so many times on the slightest of cases. Tough blocks are also awful and scrapping one going 5+ will knock you off. Still don't like the scrubs. I just hate how you lose all control just from accidentally barely starting a whip. AI is exactly the same with no changes. They still case and mess up the same sections. Customization is exactly the same which was disappointing although I like the new special gear. Overall, I think MES2 was a step down in terms of gameplay. I think Career mode got a much needed buff though. Still wish they had a better climb though. Annoys me that you can easily start on the 250s and win as a privateer. What Milestone Career modes need is to start you off in like the Futures class or even just the Arenacross. Make you try to impress early to sign with a factory ride in the 250s or struggle and start as a privateer and make you start with a stock bike that simply can't compete with the factory bikes. Add a Records for wins, championship, and overall legacy. Have more riders come up with as well as a free agency so you're not just racing the same riders on the same bikes every year. Don't even mind if they keep the tracks the same although it would be nice if they were to add a few variations for each track that randomize every season. Once you win your first 450 championship, that's it. That's the height you can achieve. Hell, even follow the recent NASCAR Heat and even let you run your own team by sighing riders for each class, bringing up Futures to sign with, and upgrading bikes to make riders more interested in signing. Now you're not just building your own legacy but your team's legacy as well by stock piling championship plates on the trailer.
Thanks! I been playing a bit, does feel a little weird. I figure I just need more time with the game to get comfortable. The game is a great way to support the sport.
Indeed. Yeah, definitely has a different feel over last years game. I do feel some MXGP PRO in the game for sure. Some of that Im not the biggest fan of, but overall Im pretty satisfied with this years game!
Man I cant seem to control the 450's at all through the corners. Definitely agree the cornering feels weird. Only like 1.5 hours in, but it's going to take some time to get used to it.
Hey Windham I have a challenge for you. 😂 Make a track where you can do loads of scrubs. Then do a lap scrubbing and a lap without. Surely scrubbing should be faster as that's why they do it in real life? Sorry I don't have the skills to be consistent 😂
Spot on. You get a speed boost when you case or over jump it’s super weird. The turning is really delayed. The game just feels slow and clunky...coming from a guy that loves GP3 and SX1.
Still got the zero gravity jumps though, ah well. I just wish they would make the air time a little more realistic time wise, I know it's a game but still.
Unfortunately it looks like early access is only available on consoles if you preordered the special edition. I dont know how much it cost, but if its like Ride 3 was, its around 80 dollars.

Im not really sure. I have seen some inconsistencies with hitting certain lines as well. It almost feels like if you rev the bike to much before landing you dont get the drive to clear things. Maybe try not getting on the throttle until you are just about to land and shifting up to 3rd if you are in 2nd. I dont really know tho. I need to get more time in the game. @@windham151 yessir that totally helped but I noticed to come barely close to hitting the triple you have to travel at least 38 mph and the fastest way to exit a corner is to ride the burn all the way

Have to say that it looks awesome. The graphics seem even better this year and rider movement slightly improved. I won't be buying it though and I only hope that Milestone make the necessary improvements before this series dies within the next one or two iterations. That goes for the MXGP series too.
Wasn't a big fan of the first one because of both the physics and the fact that you could literally just hold it flat everywhere and be fast (no skill gap) do you think this game does enough differently to be worth a try?
@@padstar. obviously there is some skill gap but you can say that about anything, I didn't mean everyone who touched the game was running the same lap times but the game was too easy for people who have been playing motocross games for 10+ years to feel any sense of achievement or improvement.. And that's because of the lack luster physics
In the difficulty settings after realistic there should be a slider which bit by bit increases the speed of the riders and you can turn it up as you get better and eventually reach impossible this game needs that because it's way to easy already
A slider past the highest difficulty would be a great idea. Make sure to run that by them on their facebook page. Would love to see that in future Milestone games.
I hope this time I can actually play online with a lot of people in mes 1 the online was always empty the most I’ve ever played with was 6 people so I hope that isn’t like that for this new version
Yeah its similar. Push the sticks together or pull them apart at the same time. You do have a bit more control over them now in my opinion compared to the first game.
Meh. I had high hopes for this one, but it's not looking good. I like the fact that you can actually crash by casing big jumps and I'm glad they increased the difficulty with 450s. It looks like you can still blast through smaller jumps like whoops, cornering just looks frustrating, and the rider still looks awkward/stiff. I'll probably play in first-person 99% of the time, so I don't care as much how it looks as long as the handling is fun. I'll have to wait and see on Friday. I hate to say it, but I'm kinda glad I only spent $28 on a preorder. Can't see myself spending $60 on what seems like a small update/DLC to the first one.
I think at first, the game can frustrate simply because of the cornering. Its still not my favorite, but the more I play and "train" the rider it gets better. Turning sections into big whoops still can happen, less than before, but still a thing unfortunately. First person cam looks great, think youll enjoy that. I think this game has more of that skill gap people seemed to have wanted.
Honestly I'm enjoying the graphics, rider and bike movement bc it looks tiny bit realistic, but that's just my opinion but on gameplay idk looks fun but I woudnt see this as a 60 dollar game, i see it as a 30 maybe less game. Though I'm still giving props to the graphics
I had that problem too. If I moved the jump I wanted to replace back and forth usually I could change it in the section I was working on. But sometimes it didnt work.
I still notice it. I mean I only have like 17ish hours in the game so things can always change, but it was the very first thing I noticed and wasnt sure I liked it. After playing more, it doesnt bother me quite as much. Also, leaning forward a bit on the right thumb stick while turning seems help some.

Once you notice the audio loop the game is ruined.... like legit I'm back to playing SX1 now.
Amazing... Bar to Bar... There risking it all... Omg... What a battle... Amazing... Bar to Bar... There risking it all... Omg... What a battle... Amazing... Bar to Bar... There risking it all... Dude straight up... I noticed this in the first fucking heat race.
If you can play in First Person makes the game more enjoyable. Gets you away from the ugly visuals of rider. feels more realistic.
What so is the standard price of this game 40 bucks ?
Have to say that it looks awesome. The graphics seem even better this year and rider movement slightly improved. I won't be buying it though and I only hope that Milestone make the necessary improvements before this series dies within the next one or two iterations. That goes for the MXGP series too.
Windham151 what u think about online player? No more lobby, just fast game. Sux for me!
these air physics make me want to cry , they need to hire a completely new team to make some proper physics based whip mechanics
I've never played a milestone game, this looks pretty good, should i get it?
@@dahlia6784 whats better about it
If you want to ruin your reputation sure
Cornering delay is horrible. I wished a little bit more of mxgp pro Physiks for cornering, so that u can rail the burms
I wish that this games rides and handle like reflex
Wasn't a big fan of the first one because of both the physics and the fact that you could literally just hold it flat everywhere and be fast (no skill gap) do you think this game does enough differently to be worth a try?
Daniel Barker I was lvl 500 on stg1 and I can say there def was a skill gap
@@padstar. obviously there is some skill gap but you can say that about anything, I didn't mean everyone who touched the game was running the same lap times but the game was too easy for people who have been playing motocross games for 10+ years to feel any sense of achievement or improvement.. And that's because of the lack luster physics
I know from the game that it’s sensitve for setups, the bike oversteers bc the setup is not right
Can you just shift to 5th gear and go super fast over the whoops again?
MZ yea!
If you think MX vs. ATV are good, "realistic" games then you never rode a bike a day in your life.
@@windham151 I posted about it on their Facebook hopefully they put it in and it could make the game be playable for hours on end
A case wreck, oh my a miracle is seen in MEStG2 Still can bounce threw rhythms a tad to easy. But hay at least a few case problems (in a good way)
The far away camera makes it look like you are playing mx the force
Lol.
They nees to release more gear especially fox racing, hopefully they do patches and throw in new gear weekly
I hope this time I can actually play online with a lot of people in mes 1 the online was always empty the most I’ve ever played with was 6 people so I hope that isn’t like that for this new version
At least the game looks real
The line for Houston, or what he was doing at least, wasn't that realistic, but I might be being picky since I went to that race.
Picky is good, makes for better games in the future. Constructive criticism like you have here is what builds better games.
Thanks.
Holy balls
How do I whip on console? Is it the same as 1?
Yeah its similar. Push the sticks together or pull them apart at the same time. You do have a bit more control over them now in my opinion compared to the first game.
This game is not even worth $30 dollars, they have literally not changed anything besides minor details that I don’t feel is $100 worth
How do I get early acces on pc
I'm high asf , 10:46 - 10:56 , fucked me up lol
I hope one day they will add Ronnie Mac
Honestly I'm enjoying the graphics, rider and bike movement bc it looks tiny bit realistic, but that's just my opinion but on gameplay idk looks fun but I woudnt see this as a 60 dollar game, i see it as a 30 maybe less game. Though I'm still giving props to the graphics
Contorted? Nah he was just doing the ol chicken flap on that corner, add a chicken sound in there to go with it and I'll buy the game!
Does this game have freeroam
Is there 2 strokes
All these games need is online in compound
I want this game but i miss travis pastrananas mx game, just riding my own trails and shit
They totally screwed the track editor. Once something is placed you can’t go back and change a jump!
I had that problem too. If I moved the jump I wanted to replace back and forth usually I could change it in the section I was working on. But sometimes it didnt work.
Hey they got real privateers in here this time!
That delayed response when steering was present in mxgp2 and it absolutely RUINED that game. If this one is like that, I'll be returning it.
I still notice it. I mean I only have like 17ish hours in the game so things can always change, but it was the very first thing I noticed and wasnt sure I liked it. After playing more, it doesnt bother me quite as much. Also, leaning forward a bit on the right thumb stick while turning seems help some.
@@windham151 I tried to fix it and contacted milestone a bunch of times with no response. By the time I threw in the towel, steam said I "played" it too many hours to get a refund. Complete waste of time and money.
Eric VanLandingham I haven’t had this issue on Xbox
I believe in the next game patch lol
So fuckin keen
The tracks are the exact same just some sections taken out
Can anyone tell me how to get to track editor for this game on Nintendo Switch?
u have to hit like RB and left or right for your showtime lol
If you pay $120 for this game...well, I better not say what I'd be thinking.
Too bad there isn’t an option for $120
Why is there no Ken Roczen??
