That little dust cap comes off so that you can slide it onto that little “piston” and than snap it back into place. You have to use a hook type tool of some kind to reach through the hole all the way to the back and side of it and then gently pull it off.
Interesting video - would I be right in saying when you use grease on the plunger for the master cylinder silicon grease would be what you need to avoid degradation of the rubber boot yeah !

how hot does the v4 get compared to other ducati's
J coolest Ducati yet. 1199 was fire and so was the 1299. The v4 gets a little heat but nothing close to the older models. Definitely manageable
