She has a husband, child, and extended family. Married people literally belong not only to themselves but also to their spouse. 1Corinthians 7:3-5. And marriage is for better or worse for life. What is your religion and what are the rules for life in your religion?
If you are in the Philippines and you need to get passport stamped every 6 months for the US requirement, you can fly to Guam since it is an USA territory and get it stamped. My wife did this while we were in Saudi Arabia.

Taxi was expensive between Terminals in Manila that's NAIA taxi inflated prices. Transferring in Taiwan seems ok, but the premium lounge at least provided a shower. Hi Chrissy - welcome in US. How much longer will you go to your college? If more than a year then did you (or Tim) check the "white passport" option? It is not a passport. On the front page there is "United State Department Of Justice * Immigration and Naturalization Service Permit to Reenter The United States". If you get that document it will allow you to stay outside of United States for over a year without loosing "Green Card" (I'm assuming that green card requirements make you travel to US every year). Chrissy was lucky she got back into the US so easily. As a permanent resident you are required to maintain a residence in the US for at least half of the year. If you stay outside the US the next time for almost 1 year expect to be grilled much more aggressively. I recently had an immigration client from Thailand who was in a similar situation as Chrissy - he had to complete his engineering degree. When he came back to the U.S. he was required to show that he had established a residence in the U.S. during his first entry as a permanent resident. Luckily he had already acquired a Drivers License in Dallas, TX where his mother resided with his stepfather. I'm sure Chrissy's immigration attorney had her well prepared for the typical questions she may expect.

There is also a free bus between terminals at NAIA. But that is OK for Chrissy, she got where she needed to go
