    Seat time is the main thing you need, glad you got to run all 30 and did some passing. Great run Tanner. I raced Dirt Karts for about 5 years and learned way more staring 15th and passing then I ever did staring near the front.

    • @numbzinger350
      @numbzinger350 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Seat time is one thing. Bad habits are another. He said the track has tight turns. That is not correct. That statement he made must be why he constantly pitched it into one. He thought the turns were tight. They're far from it.
      Pitching into one was such a bad idea he edited most of his entries into one out of the video. Google the track. Those are wide radius turns and pitching scrubbs speed there. It scrubbed so much speed that he just rode around the back.
      I'm a subscriber but I'm also a critic. That's how we learn. He needs to drive the car in straight, let it rotate on it's own and if it doesn't tap the brakes lightly, it'll turn. He'll have better luck when he returns because he'll have ... more seat time. I hope he reads this and learns from it. There's no reason to be offended.

    I've said this before, but every time you put a camera on you, in the cockpit, I'm just amazed. I've driven most types of racecars at least once. Mostly Street Stock, and Late Model, and E-mods. Except for a few laps at practice one night in my buddies non-wing 600 Mini-sprint, the E-mods probably comes closest, because of 500 HP, but you only have an 8 inch tire. I'm still amazed at "up on the wheel" you have to be in one of those things. Your arms are constantly moving, even on those long straights!!! Dude, you're awesome!!! Love the content, especially the behind the scenes stuff. The experience you're gaining right now is PRICELESS!!! THANKS for taking us along for the ride!!! GOOD LUCK AT KNOXVILLE!!!!

    To much heat in that motor son, keep it under 240, you need more fuel, it will cool the motor down and make a little more power

      With the humidity you were obviously faced w/ last week feeding it a little more timing should help the power as well as the temperature issue (EGT's for sure) . In the Midwest any nearby cornfields will also add to the water grains (humidity) in the air this time of summer esp. after sunset making the corrected air that much worse requiring more timing . Mother nature's water injection , eh?

Please know, I'm proud of you.

    What a great, entertaining vid, with excellent narration by Tanner. I've been watching dirt and pavement oval cars as a fan in the stands for 50 years or so. I appreciate the insights he offers regarding both the challenges of driving, car prep and management. I'm sure the additional challenges of having a functional team, funding, keeping everything together all add yet another layer of complexity. I subbed and became a fan of this crew and driver after watching this first vid. Thanks!

    As a Sprint car racing fan we always enjoyed watching these cars fly around the tracks. We actually enjoyed the smaller 3/8 or 1/4 oval tracks best it was quicker and the cars dont get so stretched apart and it was much easier to follow the lead cars. The 1/2 mile tracks are too much track for these csrs for our taste in racing is all.

    It's very important to get all the air out of a pressurized cooling system. I know Autozone sells a funnel just for that purpose. You can use it on your cars and trucks as well ,for under 20.00 , well worth your time and money. In a pressurized cooling system water boils at a higher temperature.

    It's an old horse racing track that had cars start racing onit in the 30s if I'm correct, they used to host a weekly show of street stocks super stocks modifieds late modles and 360 sprints. We used to have guys like the bodenhammer family here and scott bloomquist would show up for all the MLRA late modle races and jack hasenchild and randy Martin Kevin whitworth and some other guys that have made a name for them selves around the Missouri tracks. It was a every Friday night show for a long time up untill the 2000's when it shut down. We have been hoping it would pick up and run biweekly atleast for a couple of years now. We've had everybody in the 410 cars here from swindell to kinser to lasaski to bryan brown and back in the day big names like doug Wolfgang ran here from time to time

We use to pit in the infield and use the exit in the middle of the main straight to push the cars off. Now that you have run the track I will tell you my driver bounced to the outside of a driver on a start and jumped the right year of another car at the flag stand and went out over the fence in turn one ending up by the train.
