Tyler Carpenter may have been the most underrated defender coming into the quarter-finals. The 5 '10 product out of North Carolina has an extremely active stick that he pairs with elite footwork. He has hovered as a third-team All-American most of his career but you could easily argue he deserves higher. In the 2024 PLL draft he got selected in the 4th round to the Atlas joining a defense full of stars like Gavin Adler and Brett Makar. In the quarter-finals vs Maryland Carpenter picked up 3 ground balls and had two memorable caused turnovers. Today I am going to break down what makes Tyler Carpenter so good.

Carpenter has been one of my favorite poles to watch the past two years. He keeps things really simple but makes tons of plays. I think he plays similarly to Gavin Adler- both shorter guys but great footwork and groundball play

I'm super excited to see both of them on a roster together.

I played through the early aughts when long poles were generally more active with their sticks. Love watching the guys today that are still taking the ball away.
