This is why I've grown to love Premiere over Final Cut. I started on FCP and ended up switching to PP because I hate the limitations and the fact I need a dag on plugin for everything lol.
Premiere can read PSD files so no need to export a png. If you import your PSD file to premiere you can retain all your layers as separate assets without doing multiple exports and imports. Also helpful if you're building out full title screens. I would also use the regular type tool instead of dragging a box out with the area type tool unless you are creating a paragraph. That way you can keep your type editable but still use the align function to center up your text like ChetaMeister mentioned.
You can keep it as a PSD rather than export as a PNG. Keeping it as a PSD lets you go back after the fact and edit the text. Or even reuse the same PSD as a template that you can reuse (saving a new copy) for multiple titles.
You don’t have to rasterize and destructively edit the text. Make sure your text layer is selected then press command + A then press the middle align button and your fully editable text will be in the center of the frame 😉
This was genius, thanks for that tip! Only thing, you have to click on your piece and type, you cant hold and drag a type box and use the command + A trick you mention. But ill start just clicking & typing now, that's a WIN! Thanks my brother!
Hey buddy, also previous graphic designer now film maker here. I got a game change in PS for you. If you name each of you layers NAME.png, then go to File > Generate > Image Assets it will automatically save out all your files for you so you haven't got to export one separately. Love this track for when you have 3-20+ images that you want to drop in to AE/PP. Great video man, first I have watched of yours

It even crashed my radeon drivers THRICE? Any tips on how to counter that? Edit: I know how to use After Effects extensively but I can't afford it for now.
