  • In our previous Seeds of Knowledge posts, we detailed why the outer spans of your center pivot are so important, and how they can impact your entire yield.
    In chapter 3 of our End of System series, we take a look at proper End-of-System management. Here are the core aims of an effective EOS solution:
    • PROTECT the entire crop area - by ensuring that the outermost parts of the field are sufficiently irrigated. This is achieved by using the last outlet, an end-drop, an end spray or by increasing water in the last sprinklers.
    • FLUSH the pivot - to keep the pipe free of sand and soil debris. This is done by means of a sand trap or an End of System device.
    • INCREASE the irrigated area for a higher yield - by installing either an unboosted end sprinkler, or a pressure-boosted end gun.
