This person singing sounds like Ofrah Haza, the one who introduced this sound to the Western world back in the late 80's-90's on MTV. She was I believe, was a Yemanise Hebrew. She had a haunting sound. She later did some of the soundtracks for the Prince of Egypt movie owned by Dreamworks. I owned many of her music collections.
