His uchimata gives me chills. Probably the one of the most spectacular display of uchimata. There are many uchimata specialists, Keiji Suzuki, Ono Shohei, Tsukasa Yoshida, and of course Inoue, but Maruyama's uchimata has something particular that just makes you in awe. The technical precision in his kumikata and entry is unmatched.
Maruyama also has a patreon! If you train regularly in Japan it wont be a whole bunch of help but there are english subtitles and its overall pretty good info!
MARUYAMA is one of my favourite judokas and Uchi Mata was one of my favourite throws. I notice 2 things in this video. 1 is that some of his opponents are able to rotate over (to avoid landing on their back) Sometimes this is due to MARUYAMA "overthrowing". The other thing I noticed is that MARUYAMA does not use any combination with his Uchi Mata (eg. Ouchi Gari or Ko Uchi Gari)
@@JudoHighlights2015 When you are getting ippons regularly with just the one technique, opponents will eventually work on a strategy to overcome it. eg. ABE Hifumi has mastered an Osoto Gari when his opponents think he's about to launch into a Sode. It is spectacular when he pulls it off.
I've been practicing judo for a couple of months, during training in ground fighting there's a new boy who does the mata leao (strangulation) on me since I can't find anything in the rules, I was wondering if it was allowed as strangulation. also because I never see her in ground fighting videos. I thank anyone who can reply to help me understand
Disappointed you didn’t follow up with the Kodokan cup edition must be busy we understand by the way my son won the -100 kg He will also will win the grand slam Tokyo cheers

I did Uchimata at my country “ Việt Nam” 1973 champion national, today looking he did i love his way
All I want for Christmas is for you to do a video like this for Inoue
I know this video probably took a while but could you do something similar for ono’s osoto? As an osoto player I would love that
I have an osoto video out there, but not all of his attempts. If this video does well then I'll consider it. Like the video!

Sometimes there’s a kosoto, but mostly he’s just using footwork

Je veux que hifumi saute à 73 kg et que joshiro reste sur le 66kg
C'est la meilleure façon pour voir ces deux exceptionnels
God i love you
