Fully agree. Had huge fun in this car. After driving it I even think if this shouldn't be part of AutomannsGarage, theres so much emotion in it.....its like the GT3 of its class.

I would say with turbo upgrade... I mean, in stock form is very good until 5000 revs but from that is normally. If you want reach that level of power you need more torque from 5000 rpm, so the car will produce much more power easily
Hi, did you do the 0-100 on stock setting or using racechip setting? Love the wrap also! Also, just on observations of the N mode rev screen, the torque meter still registers 270nm, looks like overboost wasn't activated to get above 300nm, and on that note, if the instrument cluster does work correctly, it should also display the 360nm+ during RaceChip mode?
Maybe the car could be even faster but please don’t compare Carwows 0-60 mph times with rollout function with our real 0-100 test….that’s a totally different story, see our Golf 8 R video;)

So, 30 hp just by the racechip tuning software? Really good gains... Is everything else stock? (Intake, exhaust etc). I am interested in using one on a b16a2, what is the price? And yes, I know that it might have less gains on a bone stock engine. Planning to change soon to an aftermarket exhaust, a bit quieter, but more free-breathing than the stock one
You can't use a RaceChip for a non-turbo engine. They generally work by tapping into boost sensors, turning up boost pressure. You need a turbo car for them to work.

Nichts gegen racechip, machen bestimmt gute Arbeit, aber ich kann mir die Leistungsangaben kaum vorstellen. Teilweise übersteigen sie Werte einer programmierten stage 1. Ich hatte selber schon mehrmals den Chip verbaut und hatte 2 mal mächtig Probleme leider.
Das ist die Leistung die wir bei unseren Läufen „gemessen“ / beobachtet haben. Das Drehmoment plus spürt man deutlich und auch die gut 3 Sekunden Differenz 100-200 deuten auf ein klares Leistungsplus hin, das passt schon unserer Meinung nach💪….Aber wir können hier natürlich nur unsere Beobachtungen weiter geben🤷♂️
@@Automann-TV war auch definitiv keine Kritik. Meine Eltern fahren mit dem Chip seit 5 Jahren ohne Probleme und da merkt man auch einen Zuwachs. Aber trotzdem super Video 🤪
@@Automann-TV 100% agree with Jay Jay. Got a Forte Gt with that same 1.6 and DCT. The tune shop let me drive one with the gts race chip, with 55hp boost and 80 pft more. On the stand still start, can't realy see or feel the difference for a very simple reason, : the front wheels canot put the power to the ground. On a roll race somehow, you can feel the torq. So, if you buy such device to get better 0-100, you will be disapointed. Unless you put some racing slick tires, Just be advice every one.👍
Forte is bagged as the Kia Serato in Australia and New Zealand many people are tuning their Kia Serato GT's down under very popular car with same 1.6 turbo engine but with dct transmission like the I30n dct.
My golf mk5 gti modified with 270hp also was faster then my new i30 fastback N.........no problem, hyundai is double fun!! Its only about fun, not about 0.XX seconds faster or slower

I wonder whether hyundai are giving the journalist cars a bit of a bump like racechip? Carwow got a 6.0 0-60 time which is like a 6.2-6.4 0-100 time with a standard car!! Using the same measuring equipment. And from what I could tell, conditions were the same and gear changes looked very similar!! Surely 30 hp and 100nm should have more of a difference if carwows car was fully stock. Because that really annoys me when manufacturers do this so everybody gets that one thinking they are getting more than they are.... but their cars do the advertised 6.7 rather than 6.0!! Worse than the diesel gate scandal imo!!!
CarWow is using the same device but totally different settings. They measure to 60 mph (96 km/h) and use rollout function which means “not from standstill”…that’s why their times are always quicker, but not comparable from a 0-100 km/h standpoint. 0-100 with a manual car isn’t very comparable anyhow…
0-60 times are variable based on driver conditions and individual run but yes the i20n did smash the fiesta and the polo. Anyways I look forward to seeing the i20n with a proper remap
Oh non, y’a 234ch certes, mais y’a 364nm, c’est énorme. La fiesta peut en avoir 370 avec le stage 1 mais est beaucoup plus lourde. En plus la i20 c’est un 4 cylindres (qui n’était pas spécialement conçu pour la sportivité, 180ch avant et dispo en atmosphérique à 130ch) et aujourd’hui ça vaut tout l’or du monde.

The fiesta ST mk8 is objectively much better. Stock: mk8 has 197bhp/290nm - 100-200 19 seconds. 0-62 in 6.5 seconds. Stage 1 revo mk8: 0-62 6.1 seconds, 15 seconds 100-200 Stage 2 revo mk8: 13.8 seconds 100-200, 5.9< 0-62. With one cylinder less and less displacement. More stable at higher speeds, better interior, more established user base.

0-100 was with RACE Chip on. I think the factory claims 6.7 for the stock car.

You upshited early. Press the pedal till 6700 rpm then move up. Anyway if you would do so, it is bad performance for i20N after 5th gear.

RaceChip merchandising. Same on other channels. So bad.
We have compared the car with and without tuning, so the difference is real. Of course the internal bar gauge never shows the tuning pressure.
