- I'm in transition!
I've been decluttering for a couple of years now, and I still have a lot more decluttering to do, but some areas of my home are in maintenance mode. It's time for me to start focusing some of my attention on intentionally maintaining the areas I have decluttered. It's the next step.
So today, I am starting CLUTTER MAINTENANCE MONDAY. I want these videos to inspire you and motivate you to maintain the areas of your home that you've worked so hard to declutter. I also want to keep these videos quick for me to create, so I'm not going to do a poem for them.
Just like building our decluttering muscles, we need to build our maintenance muscles. If you're ready, I hope you will join me as we continue with our journey toward manageable-ism.

i cleaned my coffee station. cleaned all coffee ground spills, threw out an old bottle of dill. moved to empty containers to my other shelf where i keep bowls. have a blessed day Melinda. 🙏🙏💗💗🤗🤗🐈🐈
Awesome! I can picture it in my mind. Coffee grounds and spills gone. Less stuff. It looks so fresh and ready for the next cup of coffee. 🤗💕 Blessings 🙏❤️

Great job! I do maintenance work on my most used bathroom drawers a little at a time. Mostly happens when I get something out to use and I see something that shouldn’t be there I take it out then. I also go through the area regularly to wash down and do a major declutter. 😊 Thank you for the inspiration to work on an area a little at a time. 😁 Have a blessed week!❤❤

Looks great! Maintenance Monday… I love that! I have areas I’m happy with and go over them almost every month for a quick maintenance check while I’m in that zone. My bathroom is one of those tidy areas. As I go through them now - I’m questioning things that have been there so long I’m blind to them.
▫️The ancient blow dryer I haven’t used in years. It’s probably 25 years old. I’ve kept it because who doesn’t want a hair dryer?
▫️The magnifying lighted make-up mirror on a stand. Haven’t used it in years. Perfect condition. Gift from Dan. I think it might be useful one day. But, I have a smaller compact size lighted magnifier mirror I’ve used for years.
▫️The big plastic roller bin that sits empty in the bottom of the bathroom linen closet. I used to take lots of Epsom Salt baths. I bought the stuff in bulk. It was cheaper that way. So I kept it in this bin with a scoop. But, I’ve slacked off those baths. Now, I’ve been buying smaller bags.
🔳 And… as a crazy list maker. I keep a list! Here’s the list of contents of our bathroom vanity.
◼️1. Bathroom Vanity
▪️Counter Top: Scentsy wax melt warmer on a trivet, Clinique facial brush on a charger, bottle of hand soap, stoneware flower pot, folded hand towel.
▪️Undersink Cab: large bottle of mouthwash, basket of cleaning products: Windex, Toilet Bowl Cleanser, Clorox Wipes, Dawn Liquid, Febreze. Rinse cup holding grout brush, toilet tank tablets, plastic trash bags. Folded step stool.
▪️ D1: hair dryer, 3 hair brushes, 1 wide tooth comb.
▪️ D2: Make-up bag containing: foundation powder, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, blush, lipstick, eyelash curler and tweezers. Extra cotton round pads. Scentsy wax melts.
