About Yor’s assassin job, so far it seems her organization is independent of the government but is still loyal to Ostania. Her handler refers to her and himself as soldiers fighting for their country.
I took it as she and her brother work for the FBI and CIA. Same government, different branch and one does not know of the deepest secrets of the other.
@@Restryouis what we’ve seen in the manga doesn’t seem she is connected to the government. I think her boss is more of a Punisher that sends her after targets.

As someone who reads the manga, the adaptation is progressing very slowly, to the point that I am surprised that they are just adapting this new arc, and the previous ones each one only adapted one chapter + an extra chapter of the manga, so that can give you an idea of how slow it is going. Maybe it's because the manga is only 70 chapters long and they don't want the anime to catch up so quickly.
Plus the author has this way of structuring his manga, where he always does "comedy" chapters before starting an action arc. It's something similar to Gintama in that aspect. SpyxFamily does not follow a linear story and that was more than clear in this second part, but the good thing is that great arcs are coming and the best of the series imo
Yeah, I like the anime but I think the manga is better. I don't know I think the format works better in the manga
I love Nightfall! I mean who could blame her for falling for Twilight? She’s an interesting character and adds a new perspective to everything. Fiona confirmed Twilight has real feelings towards his family and that’s why she cried later. She says his real self is still seeping through despite the fake smile. In the manga it was clear. She said she could see real emotions seeping through his act. He loves his family for real which is why she couldn’t stand staying in that room any longer and had to leave. She cried at the end despite her training.
So a little note about the author of SpyxFamily. This will kinda explain the way the story is structured. He has a very random release schedule for chapters, sometimes it’s biweekly, but other times he’ll be on break for a month. He’ll write these “decimal” chapters, that are basically filler joke chapters, for when he can’t make a proper chapter, and they’re usually inconsequential for the most part. Also while some people probably don’t want to hear this, the author has stated in interviews that SpyxFamily isn’t really the kind of story he wanted to write, it was mostly an experiment from his editor to get him thinking outside the box. So he does have a habit of writing it like it’s a side-project even though it’s his most popular work.
He's also said that the success of Spy x Family is what spurs him on, as a means to combat the 'depression' of his career prior to recently
^So although it may not be exactly what he wanted to do, the amount of quality he's put into it nonetheless, doesn't make it a "side project" imho.
@@Omegafire17 Oh I can see that. It's just the initial impression I got from the way he talks about the series. He definitely puts effort into it and I hope he continues to succeed.
Basically this isn't a series where plot progression is usually its main focus. Rather the focus is on the characters and how they interact with each other. The background plot is simply what brings and holds them together, and is repeatedly established to be something that is going to take a long time to get anywhere. Recognizing this I find helps one enjoy the series more.
Berlint General Hospital is a prestigious hospital. It’s real with real staff and very influential people come as patient. It’s why Twilight chose it. It’s a real great cover not to mention he might get a very high profile patient to aid in his mission. Twilight of course studied everything about psychiatry for this mission. He’s as qualified as any new psychiatrist. He also studies human psychology for his spy missions specially when he impersonates others or when he makes them trust him and spill everything to him. I think he will become an actual renowned psychiatrist by the end of this mission. Study and information wise he’s definitely qualified.
I really enjoyed ep 20. I like those scenes where the plot isn't moving and we just follow them in their daily lives. I laughed a lot and have no doubt Loid is the best doctor in that hospital haha
Having said that I really appreciate that you don't hide your real feelings about the episode and show plainly that you don't enjoy something.
2:20 Note back in the first episode she appeared in Yor called her target a traitor. Noteworthy traitors to the country (as well as powerful criminals and such) are her typical targets. She doesn't go after anyone she thinks doesn't deserve it.
Nightfall seeing how happy loid is

But atleast she saw it early that loid is genuinely happy
Thinking about it really hit home. When I was younger I asked my long time High school crush who was a guy I started hearing so much about around her. At that point she became silent then started blushing and giggling when she said he was her new boyfriend. I remember the pain I felt seeing her reaction, I always wanted to be "that guy" she'd blush for. I stopped hanging out with her soon after that day.
Hm, it seems like Episode 21, is yet another Episode that covers a Main Chapter(Chapter 30) and a Short Chapter(Short Chapter 3), i gotta admit, it’s interesting with how they are using the Short Chapters as a way to just use a Single Main Chapter without stretching it with Anime-Original Content, ‘cause I guess they would run out of ideas eventually with how they would stretch them and I do quite appreciate that they are using the Short Chapters at all in any kind of way, i feel like they add to the experience of this Series(though, I do wonder if they are going to cover Extra Chapter 2 at some point?).
Anyway, it seems the True Plot of the Campbelldon Tennis Arc will Start Next Episode, i hope you’ll look forward to it, i certainly will.
The tennis arc really felt like it took forever in the manga. Looking forward to it in the anime.
I always assume Loid has a legit job from the beginning because he enrolled Anya into the prestigious Eden. Schools like Eden are very meticulous of who they admitted into, they do background checks on everything. They even observe how the family walk and act, LOL. 😂
It's okay if you think the past episodes have been slow, because they have really been slow. They were episodic. But these next few episodes will be more focused, so I hope you still look forward to them as much as we do!

Also Nightfall is basically Yuri. Now there is a terrifying coupple.
Yor works for the Garden. Even as a manga reader, we don’t know who they are or in which side they really are on, but they tell Yor is to catch traitors of the government (obviously tho not working with the actual gov). For that reason no one really knows if what they tell Yor is factual or not (by manga story arcs coming up, there’s theories). Overall, it is an organization, is not like anyone can hire Yor for any murder. She has a boss that has trained her since she was a child to deal with “traitors”. Which is also why Yor figuring out Loid works for the opposing gov is an important factor. Again, we don’t actually know if her boss is in favor of her gov (and where yuri works) but there’s theories. He pretty much trained her as a child so he could have brainwashed her.
Gives me a "The Wanted" (Angelina Jolie/Morgan Freeman movie) type scenario vibes 😄
One thing we do know is that Garden opposes the pro-war faction of the Ostania government. But their primary ambition is to "prune" (i.e. kill) anyone in Ostania who is harming its growth (to make it a flourishing Garden) and hence in addition to traitors Yor is sent to kill the worst criminals, terrorists, etc.
The end credit of eps 21 made the eps whole lot better really liked Lindsay reaction to it.
Now, introducing Fiona Frost, Codename: Nightfall, who I guess could be considered as Loid’s Yuri, for lack of a better way to describe her, though i guess she is way more internal than Yuri, again for a lack of a better way to say it.
Anyway, with this, all of the Major Player within this Series (that I know of) has now been introduced, let’s see how things will go from here.

WAIT did you guys missed /skipped the TOP Secret Mission???
You guys have been surrounded by too many shows that have "big bosses" SpyXFamily is obviously a series you just need to enjoy, it's not filled with character development every episode, they'll developed every couple of episodes like how people developed every couple of weeks. What I'm trying to say is, stop complaining that an episode doesn't focus on the Operation and feels "filler", because that's just how this started and the main point is watching Anya grow up and the interactions of this fake family
I think part of why the show hasn’t been good so far is because they’ve been only adapting one chapter which makes me wonder why they decided to make the show 24 episodes

Yes. finally , Loid has an other woman after him. things are getting very interesting. a Love triangle angle. i was hoping for this and i got it. interesting, so it should have been Fiona who was going to play the role of Loid's wife. at the start. too bad she was busy with another mission at the time. i feel sorry for Fiona . too little to late.. Too bad for Fiona having a harem would derail the "perfect" household image they're going for. it's looking like the writer wants Loid to end up with Yor at the end.. a not bad choice . you can not go wrong with either Yor and Fiona . i love both Yor and Fiona but if i were the creator of this story i would pick the Harem ending. Loid should pick both of them since both them are in love with him. all good. sharing is caring.
cool. very nice we get to see more of agent Nightfall in the coming Episodes. must be her arc since she has a co-op mission with Twilight. my question is.....When's agent Daybreak coming back ? i miss him already . LOL
