    Thanks for the tip! Got a new pump ordered, but you just saved us a trip or two to the coin laundry. It may be borrowed time, but I’ll take it. Once again TH-cams is a gold mine!!! I had it opened up and never thought to flip the paddles in the pump. Then I watched your vid. Thanks again!!!

      Did it work for you?

      Like a charm! Unfortunately, I had already ordered a new pump before I watched your video. Now I’m not sure I need it. I used a shop vac to suck up all of the water as I was slowly removing the lid, then I continued getting as much as I could after I got it opened up. I did this both times I opened it. So when I emptied the shop vac, I found what I thought was a rubber band. It had to have come out of the pump because the shop vac was clean before I started. After a closer look, it turned out to be what was left of one of my wife’s hair ties. I reached in and gently flipped the paddle in the pump. I felt a little resistance at first, then it flipped freely. I closed everything up and it has worked perfectly ever since. No odd sounds. No error codes. My wife has done several loads and it hasn’t missed a beat. Now, I know, if I ship that new pump back to the place I bought it from, the pump in the washer will quit the next day. So, I guess I’ll keep it for “insurance”. Again, thanks for the tip. You definitely saved us a bunch of hassle. If I hadn’t seen your video, there would’ve been several trips to the coin laundry until I could get a day off work to swap the pumps.

    why do you need to spin it?
    does it matter which direction you go?

    • @tahurl
      @tahurl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You spin it just to get it back in place ...think I went clockwise but don't think it matters

      @@tahurl Is it normal to have water always stationary in the drain pump or is the drain pump suppose to be completely empty of water on its own? After every wash I open the drain pump only to find it with water.

      @@creature8428 yes you will always have water there..

      @@tahurl Thank you. I am confused why there has to be water there after each wash? Maybe it eventually goes away. But also wonder there is only so much water that the drain pump can hold before the next wash

    • @tahurl
      @tahurl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to upload a quick video then link it here.. otherwise i understand the cap separated from the rest of the plug... I suspect there is a hair pin or something else stuck which is stopping the rest of the plug from coming out... my advise is you can just pull really hard..since there is nothing mechanical that should be holding it in place..
