I know everything there is to know about Payson Arizona. I am born and raised and have been camping in Payson and the Mogollon Rim (45 min NE). From Woods Canyon, to Bear Canyon, to Chevylon Canyon, I know them all and have hiked into remote areas of each. If you ever need location advice or anything, don't hesitate! The best country in the world. And you need to watch "fire in the sky"... true story
Dude! I just love your enthusiasm and joy. Really looking forward to your future adventures and videos. Good look on the new job, hope you can show us what you do as well! Take care -Chris⛰️🚙
Oh wow...Payson, beautiful place. We lived in Pine, which is not far up from Payson in the early 80's...we Loved it there. You'll have to go up to Mogollon Rim (pronounced muh-gee-on), it's spectacular.
This was a pleasant surprise. Welcome back! I hope you’re loving your new job and home. Glad you got to enjoy Caprock Canyons. The bison and prairie dogs are a wonderful bonus to the beauty of the canyons. Hope we get to see more of your new adventures.
Congratulations 🎉! Here's hoping you are entering your own Gateway to full-on living your Best Life. Young with the quest of an adventurer and a Truck Camper as your new home... 🗣You've Got This! 👏🤝💪👍
So glad your doing videos. Same style as dome life. They changed so much it should be lifestyles of rich & famous. I love that you keep.it real! Good luck new job.
Congratulations on new job & safe arrival 🎉 . very exciting beautiful video well done . Can’t wait to see more !!!! thanks for taking us along the ride ❤
Welcome to Arizona 🎉 I was a long time subscriber of your sister, and Cody, which is how I found out about your channel. I live in Quartzsite Arizona. Hope this works out for you and keep the videos coming 😊
The buffalo are smart when we stayed in caprock I watched the big fella lead the herd to a empty campsite turn on the spicket and they all took turns drinking. I asked the ranger and he said "ya they do that" awesome stuff.
Hey Johnny Congratulations on getting your new job working for the USFS is awesome. I will looking forward to your Arizona adventures but I will miss the Arkansas adventures as they were so awesome. And yes, you always made me so hungry by watching you cook lol.
payson and suburbs has been my phoenix summer heat get a way for 40 years. saturdays there you have all the '' flat landers '' invade and its a traffic jam and everything is booked up. the area is having some evacuations right now due to forest fires. hope its not to smokey for you. good luck on your new job.
Yay! I was so happy to see you post a video! If you find yourself with some free time one day, can you please give us a truck camper tour now that you are living in it?
Congratulations, this is super cool! We're excited to follow along on your journey. It's awesome to see a young guy get out there, take some risks, and experience life. It seems to be rare these days. We are actually headed out as a family full time as well. Maybe we'll see you on the road...Safe travels and God bless!
Bienvenido/welcome to Arizona! Payson is a beautiful area that opens up to thousands of square miles of state parks, national forests and some of the most beautiful places in all of creation. Hope you enjoy your time here! Subscribing now, since you are in AZ.
I guess your channel popped up because I was watching videos of Payson to relocate there in spring. They have several nice 55+ communities. I will follow your journey to see how you like the are. Good luck!👍✌️🤞
Welcome to Arizona! Now that it's starting to cool off, come on down to the Verde Valley. It's only about an hour away, Pine is a fun stop in between and there's lots of hiking, the Verde River, native American ruins to visit. Jerome is unique, Cottonwood has great dining and places to stay. Several state parks are available for camping, and of course Sedona is part of the Verde Valley.
I have lived in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for over 42 years now, and although I am sick of the heat and ready to move to somewhere new, Payson is a great place to live. The Eastern part of Arizona is in my opinion the prettiest, and if you head out from Payson through Star Valley, you'll make the climb up to the Mogollon Rim (about 7000 feet elevation), and if you think Payson is beautiful, just wait until you get up on the Rim. Drive for about 90 minutes and you'll hit Showlow/Pinetop and then make sure you hit Greer and then the Big Lake area (check out the Mt. Baldy Wilderness area near Big Lake, most beautiful spot in Arizona IMO). Enjoy, AZ is an amazing state to explore, and if you can just settle down in Payson, you'll have a FAR greater quality of life than down in the Scottsdale/Phoenix or Tucson areas (assuming you are into outdoor activities, as it is so hot here now in the summer, almost no raid down here, etc.). Have fun!
Just down the road is Palo Duro Canyon State Park. It's beautiful also. But Caprock is the best. Do not go in the summer to Palo Duro it's hot. Good luck with your new job.
Oh yeah nested eggs for breakfast, its going to be a good day!!!! OOO Bison is the correct name!!!! Buffalo are actually water buffalo from everywhere but the U.S.
How exciting!! If we pass through Payson on the way to Quartzsite we'll look for you so we can say hi! We'll be spending the winter down south in our Arctic Fox truck camper. You're going to LOVE the area!! Cheers! ~M ps... get to Winslow and stand on the corner before it gets too cold. LoL!!
Glad to see you back on the road Jonathan. We love the west to. We're from Texas and never been to caprock but it's on our list. Good lock on your new journeys and adventures. Have a good day
Lived in Texas my whole 60 year life, many many trips to West Texas but just visited Caprock Canyon for the first time only a couple months ago and WOW is right!!! What a beautiful area. Good idea on giving space to the Buffalo. They are not pets for sure!!! Did you not stop in Lincoln, NM? Full of Billy the Kid info. Very historic place. Wife & I stopped at the same place for pie in Pie-Town on our way to Grand Canyon on our Harley. It was awesome. AND, we stayed the night in Payson!! Beautiful place. Best wishes on your new job, home, & adventures
You’ll love Payson!! I’ve been there on weekends while working in Phoenix and while on vacation. A great location to explore and home base to go other places in the southwest! Have fun!!!
bison are mistakenly called buffalo. back in the day the western writers came up with the name buffalo because they felt it sounded better. that the story i heard from a yellowstone ranger so take it as you want, lol.
I did the same thing as you, except I chose Seattle. It’s little scary at first but sometimes you have to make yourself uncomfortable in order to grow. Have fun!!
Texas buffalo make Yellowstone buffalo look like massive lions! 😂Those are pretty tame and chilled out buffalos. Payson is GREAT! Maybe I'm a little biased being from AZ 😊But you do get all four seasons there and winters can be a bit snowy so just beware. You are going to LOVE IT!! and you are moving here during the best time! Welcome to STATE 48!!
Great upbeat video full of adventure. Your camper truck looks comfortable. Curious to hear what your job is. I'm guessing it's something with the DNR since that's your field. Congrats on this new chapter of your life!
Welcome to AZ. I love the rim country, please learn right away how to pronounce Mogollon... We're in the White mountain just down the road. Hope to see you in Payson
Welcome to the White Mountains! I don’t know what brought you here, but you’ll never want to leave! Enjoy!!

Congratulations on your new job, waiting for the camper tour!
Soon to come!
Good for you man!
Just down the road is Palo Duro Canyon State Park. It's beautiful also. But Caprock is the best. Do not go in the summer to Palo Duro it's hot. Good luck with your new job.
I had planned on going to Palo Duro Canyon but the campground was full so Caprock Canyon was the next best thing
Welcome I'm not far from you, Show Low. It's perfect here in the White Mountains. ENJOY!
Nice video man, congrats on the move and landing a job too!
The 650 is a nice camper! I miss my Lance. I had the 865 model and made lots of great memories with it.
I love it!
Oh yeah nested eggs for breakfast, its going to be a good day!!!! OOO Bison is the correct name!!!! Buffalo are actually water buffalo from everywhere but the U.S.
Payson is a very small town. Look out for Sasquatch and Trumpers 😂
Got that right. Last time I was there I saw a bunch of trump morons with signs for Trump and Paul Gossar.
Smart to avoid bison.
😂
Good for you buddy! We are happy for you. We'll be back to AZ in about a month. Congratulations! 🎉
Thank you!
There you are! Congratulations and have the best journey on your way west! Yeee Haw!! Love your videos!
Thank you!
Glad to see your journey. I've been thinking and sending prayers your way. Take care! Enjoy! ❤
Thank you! ❤️❤️
All that rough terrain will eventually shatter that windshield with that crack in it. My advice is get that replaced quickly.
Hi Jonathon
I predict your channel will start hopping. ❤

Yes I did stop in Lincoln NM. Such a cool area packed with history. Sounds like we took the exact route!
You’ll love Payson!! I’ve been there on weekends while working in Phoenix and while on vacation. A great location to explore and home base to go other places in the southwest! Have fun!!!

Very good video! I liked it. Be careful. On your travels.
bison are mistakenly called buffalo. back in the day the western writers came up with the name buffalo because they felt it sounded better. that the story i heard from a yellowstone ranger so take it as you want, lol.
Very Large Array

Awesome! 🎉
From Texas to Arizona, it’s amazing to see you embrace the unknown! 🌄 Do you think living in a truck camper is the future of travel? 🤔
Most definitely!
Truck campers find all the right camps. Entertaining video, should have gave a buffalo a pat on the head. Welcome to Arizona.
Haha thanks!
Welcome to AZ. I love the rim country, please learn right away how to pronounce Mogollon...
We're in the White mountain just down the road. Hope to see you in Payson
I am pretty sure I watch your mom’s or sisters channel too. Or maybe she is your aunt? lol Cheers! Safe travels. You are a precious soul. ❤
Sister lol
@@nomaderic ❤️ Awesome!
We had a vacation home in Payson for 2 years. It’s a fun little town.
What new job did you take. Happy Safe Travels. 🏕
I work in recreation for the Forest Service. Beautiful area!
Looks like ya drove right past. Remember, you have to wave at every Lance LOL.
Just sub. To your channel Your fun to be with …
There aren’t any real buffalo in America. What we have in America are bison. However bison in America have been commonly called buffalo.
This is great! Here's another comment for ol' Al. Al...gorithm 😃
Did you get a new truck also? We need a truck and camper tour and if you did any truck upgrades.
I did not get a new truck which is why it’s on a F150. A tour is coming soon!
New subscriber. Beautiful trip to your new home. 👋 🚐
