First off, this video was a challenge to film and edit, it was all done out of order. Luckily, it came together ok, but the FINAL CUT software for some reason decided to insert the growing your greens logo for a second or two at various times during this episode. This was NOT planned NOR intentional. I strive to ensure this does not happen in the future. For those of you that find this content valuable, I hope you will still watch the video. My entire intention with this episode was to help farmers that may be in a hurricane zone implement techniques to become more resilient as well as help encourage economic growth for Puerto Rico. I hope I have successes in my mission aside from the flashing logo and any comments I have made in this episode that you may find offensive. Please understand all my videos are 100% impromptu and I never know what I'm going to say until I say it, and tend to be more "unfiltered" that I should in some instances. I'm only human and I'm not perfect., but strive to improve.

John, Did you ever purchase land in PR? I saw your videos last year and have visited three times since and met with Juan. I plan to visit again in three weeks and hopefully purchase a small plot for a cacao farm. I wanted to do the ten minute call but see that's not an option now.

I'm so happy to see you again in Puerto Rico, you are the reason I have so many tropical perrenials! I live in Yabucoa, P.R. even though I lost many trees I have noticed regrowth of of much of what was lost .. I have moringa, malabar spinach, longevity spinach, egyptian spinach, loquat, cacao, breadfruit tree, everglade tomato, coffee, plantain, lemon trees, surinam cherry, passion fruit, granada, grocella, cranberry hibicus, I use the leaves for salads, and I also have a few other that I don't recall right now..much was lost, but I am happy with what is returnig and still learning what to grow to be able to "eat my greens" like the"Maestro" John Choler has taught me and many others..I wish you could stay here for a while to teach us, how to be sustainable..especially in our changing climate...your Friend even though we have never met.

One of the best uses I have seen used for hillsides is turning it into pasture then running goats or other domesticated animals that dont mind the hills and rugged terrain as much.

Excellent video, I’m happy to hear Juan’s doing good and thanks for sharing the innovative ways which Juan used to deal with the effects of the hurricane and grow sustained crops. My wife and I are enthusiastically going on an organic cacao farm tour in Puna Hi. In a few weeks... that advertises to tourists thru Airbnb and Vrbo. Perhaps the people of Puerto Rico can charge American tourists for farm tours as a way to provide more income for themselves. Please keep the videos coming.😃🌈🤙

The FBI arrested the corrupt democrat mayor and her buddies, for playing politics with people's lives. They found multiple warehouses filled with aid supplies from the US, locked up and rotting in the hot sun, held back from the starving public. All for the purpose of trying to make our President look bad. May they all ROT in jail for their corruption, which permeates the whole island.
It's no surprise there were already in massive debt before the hurricane, as their politicians were all on the take, hoping the US would bail them out while they lined their pockets. www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/10/17/san-juan-municipal-government-fbi-raid/1668745002/

What's up with the flashing logo? Are you trying to sending a subliminal message like buying your tee shirt from compassion tees? Because I'm not going to buy a tee shirt from compassion tees. I'm not going to compassion-tees.com to buy one of your shirts. I'm not checking to see if they have a GYG tee in my size. I'm not placing an order and waiting.

While I like the idea of telling stories of agricultural innovation in the midst of hardship, I think you should take care when describing the aftermath of tragedies that result in devastating losses of human life not to come off as tone-deaf in your remarks. I know that is not where you're intending to come from, but it's a bit awkward to say things like "I can't even tell a hurricane happened, the beaches look great." I think in this case it would have been better to hear from the farmers themselves, maybe with an interview (which you do do sometimes on your channel).

I apologize if anyone was offended by my description in this episode. Please understand all my videos are "off the cuff" impromptu and I say what comes to my mind. Most of the times its fairly good, but in this case, I could have improved. Please understand Im only human and not perfect and trying to make a video impromptu on the fly is not the easiest thing to do. I strive to only improve in the future when dealing with sensitive topics. My goal for this episode is to help people that may be prone to hurricane to implement strategies that may help them to weather the storm more effectively.
