Thank you mate, these are the best guides I've found on youtube - by far. Always thought I was too stupid to do all this stuff, but have now built [almost] 2 bikes thanks to your help - & they even work properly :)
Really enjoying this channel, got a hand me down DA9000 which I am entirely fitting myself and doing everything from BB replacement to full group set with this channel!
The cable housing provided with the 9100 can be a bit tricky to get to the “best” length. I found best to ere a bit long and shorten if you notice any side flex when you shift smallest cog to next cog. 1cm made a difference on mine Shimano technical documents make reference to the cable housing length and shifting quality. Your instruction is top notch and much appreciated.
Well done, I have a lot of experience myself but its nice to see other peoples work. The only thing I gleaned from this is the cable liner has a flange. I may have snipped that off if I hadn't seen that.
Great explanation of installation I find your videos amongst the best on TH-cam. Just on this one anyone installing the mech should take care over the alignment of the lug as the mech does not have the usual b adjustment screw
Great video. Do you know if I can fit a 9000 derailleur with a 32t cassette. I'm not sure which group set I'm going to go with. The 9000 seems cheaper to find.
I have your videos as a great reference! Just 1 minor request, what's your pro mechanic tip for wheel removal and back again with this derailleur type? I struggle . There must be some tips?
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a question.. It's possible to replace the Dura ace 7800 rear derailleur with the Rd 9100 rear derailleur, I also have that extra black small plate under the back axle line on the frame, in what you mount the rear derailleur? Thanks.(I have mavic ksyrium 5 elite back wheel and have extra washers on the freehub, so there is extra space for 11 speed cassette. I want to change the shifters with ultegra R8000)

Yes you can use the 9100 RD with the R8000 shifters!
Can I use my 9000 shifter with the 9100 derailleur?
Yes!
Can I fit 11-40 mountain cassette on dura ace 9100 rear derailleur, with wolf teeth hanger and 36-52 front crank?
Yes
