Even tho I've listened to this band since Citadel, this was a lot about Tim and the band that I didn't know. Thanks Tris!

Yeah, I had no idea about his CFS or the fact his marriage broke down. That's so rough. I love the guy, hope things turn for the better for him.

Not that the band members have to share personal things, but it does help to understand the struggles Tim (and probably some others) have had through the years.
My girlfriend has lived with CFS for nearly 7 years, it's a debilitating, destructive disorder. Getting out of bed and just taking care of your basic daily routine is a monumental task with CFS, never mind writing and performing for NeO.
I can really personally relate to his other personal struggles with motivation, relationships, mental health etc.
I'm 18 months in to my PhD. I really struggle to get out of bed in the mornings and sitting down to work on my research is so daunting. My mental health is dwindling rapidly, as are my hopes and motivations to finish this PhD.

As a relative newcomer to the band, this was really revealing about their writing process. What a rad band.

Great interview, excellent band. Got pretty deep into some topics here, surprisingly so.

What an incredible interview. So good to see Tim (and the band as a whole) doing better and most importantly, doing what's best for them. I think Exul speaks volumes not only as an incredible piece of art, but the evolution and maturity of the band, dealing with the hardships of the recording process and the personal/worldwide struggles in everyone's lives in that period. The band always had (and still has) a special place in my heart, and seeing them rise against all adversity, makes everything even more special. Thanks again Tristan & Tim (and NeO).
