So we can finally put to bed those negative comments I keep reading about how these mini amps must “all sound the same because they’re made by the same company”. Excellent demo!
Has anyone put any of the minis up against any of the Joyo Bantamp. Wonder if the tube in the Bantamp makes a difference compared to all solid state. Perhaps you can do a video.
Bought the Bogner, Soldano, and finally the Diezel and I liked the Bogner, then I got the Soldano and LOVED it and last I got the Diezel and I think that one is the the ultimate Thrash Metal home practice amp. The Diezel takes the Ibanez TS9 pedal best of the 3 and when engaged, sounds like Rammstein type tone mixed with thrash to my ears.
@florian_thrash I wouldn't try to play it with a thrash metal band with a drummer. Not loud enough. Good for practice though. They sound pretty good but honestly, I haven't used mine in over a year and sold them all except the Soldano.
I can't wait to see your channel take off. This is the first video of yours I've seen, and I was surpised by your subscriber count; I thought you'd have way more. Really impressive/professional level video editing and composition. Great job.

@@BkBk-gy6vr I used to be a full blown "tube snob" but even I have to admit that solid state amps like these are so close sometimes it's like splitting hairs! I know I have over 40 vintage tube amps of all different brands, from the 50's-60's-70's (and a few old and newer solid state amps including the Bogner and one 100w head from SubZero, a Marshall Artist (ss pre/tube pwr-amp) and many vintage Lead 12's) that when recorded properly can easily match any of them in tube tone! and no-one can tell the difference! The best way is to run a good solid state preamp into a tube power amp, and when tuned you cannot tell that it is not all tube! Sometimes ya just have to use yer ears and accept what they tell you!
The fact that I keep changing my mind on which is my favorite is a testament to how great these are and how some trends are genuinely beneficial for the consumer market. We are absolutely spoiled.
thank you for putting this together, I Was thinking about buying two Friedman mini's running them together and blending the two for 60 watts of dual head power! MINI STACK ENGAGE!!!!!
Fun idea, definitely. For that price though, you could really approach some real deal flagship amplifier options, though. But hey, the only thing that matters with guitar gear is whether or not it makes you happy. That's what I believe, anyways
Very nice overwiev. But they sounds completely different on other cabs with other guitars. For me the Diezel make sense because you have seven knobs for the adjustment wich is better as a switch in my opinion.
My hand was "forced"! Found the Soldano on CL for $180 US......couldn't let that go. I love Soldano but could never afford the "real-deal"....and I just wanted a practice amp to noodle in my apartment. I plug it into a Marshall 1960A cab with 75's. Fits the bill for me.

Just from listening to your awesome demos: The Friedman has a very 3-dimensional tone, like complex; better for a solo artist or rhythm player. The Bogner has a more baseball-bat-crack, 2-D sound, which would mix will with a full band. The switches make pretty dramatic changes for a lot of versatility. The Diezel sounds versatile with minimal features, like for rhythm or lead players. The Soldano has the most satisfying tone. If I was a better player, the Friedman would be a great choice for me to hog up a lot of sonic space. The Soldano seems like it would sound good enough to make my playing sound better.
I bought one of the Soldano minis. Haven’t been impressed with it. Waiting on a Soldano SLO pedal to see if it might make a difference. If not, I will send it packing.
