Don't have an ant problem do you? Instead of repainting such tools, why not polish the bare aluminum and forego the paint. I mean the new paint will scratch and chip off alone the way. But polished aluminum doesn't have any paint to come off. Just an idea. Thumbs Up!

in case of some electrical problem, the paint act as barier and your hands are safe. aluminium is a good electrical conductor.
