My machine is brand new and the automatic buttonhole foot will not work. I've tried many times. I've made sure every time that it's plugged in all the way and that the white "crown" is lined up with the white mark. It runs away every time! Very disappointed.
Every time I tr y to sew the buttonhole I get a message saying "Match the white area of the wheel with white marking on the foot." However, the white area of the wheel is on the white line. Why won't it sew the buttonhole?

Mine never worked. I use stich # 27 only.
