Many 2024 and 2025 helmets have these now + ear pockets for speakers. Many evne have a pocket inside for the commumicator. Leatt does not rank high compared to other ADV helmets
Note: Play this at 1.25x speed for regular Llewellyn, and normal speed for a quaaluded Llewellyn. Good to see more cool stuff coming out of Leat, their adventure series so far has been kickass. Running the Flowtour jacket currently, curious to see how this helmet compares to the XD4/5 and Krios Pro
Looks like my XD-4 is gonna have some competition when it comes time for replacement. That checkerboard carbon is super sick. Also great choice bringing Llel on, Brake Magazine makes great stuff.
Looks interesting. My suggestions: An internal sun visor works better than a photocromatic shield (as far as I've experienced). Allow different padding options for different shapes of skull, not only sizes. Make it silent for the highway, but with good ventilation for offroad. Offer magnetic straps also for the cheaper one, at least as an option.
internal sun visor is a no-go on an adventure helmet. I have one on my Nexx X.WED 3 and after traveling through dusty environments while riding with goggles, the internal sun visor got so much dust on it I'm barely able to clean it. Additionally the mechanism has so much dust in it that you basically can't operate the visor anymore.
Looks like a really nice helmet. It's really refreshing that you have included so many configurations in the box, like the different visors and the goggles. I have one question that does not seem to be answered in any of your material: I normally ride in Shoei helmets, because they have channels in the padding specifically to accomodate the arms of a pair of glasses. Does this have something similar? It's really important for the comfort for people like me who wear glasses in the helmet, as just a little pressure on the arms of the glasses quickly becomes really uncomfortable.
Looks like my next helmet. Safe, well thought out features, looks sharp, and can accept the comms system of my choice. I would like to know the weight of each model.
Looks like an interesting helmet. Thanks for the great review! The "peak" needs to become an adjustable sun visor, to lure me away from the Arai XD4. Good luck!
Looks like this helmet collected nearly all advangages from Klim Krios Pro, Nexx X.Wed3 and Airoh Commander 2. I've just ordered all of them for a test, because I lost the temper, waiting for a release date. Now looks like all of them will be sent back and I will wait for leatt 😂
What is that bike? Looks good. Very interested in the 8.5, but like others, I wish it had a quick release strap. I have the Fidlock, but I like the ratchet on my street helmet, J-Crz 2 the best. Pkg price with googles is an interesting marketing concept. Is this really what customers want? Pairing? If so, what features make them unique? Do they fit better, seal better? When I heard about this, I thought maybe the googles would have nice external seals to fit with this helmet, keep the dust and noise down. But it doesn't look like there is anything special about the google. If not, opportunity missed I'd say. I bought expensive googles this year, why do I need to do it again?
4 colorways in the 8.5 range, and 1 in the 9.5 carbon range. Have a look on our website: leatt.com/product/helmet-kit-adv-8-5-with-4-5-goggle-v25?selected-color=white
Awesome job by you guys but I still believe it could need sun visor. Why? Because that awesome photochromic shield will still be a little bit dark for some people. It’s good to have that option, but I still think that the combination between clear shield and sun visor it’s the best. Still great helmet everyone should try! Leatt is actually doing things better than other brands like Revit and Klim. Both super expensive and they’re not listening to customers..
I’m glad this helmet doesn’t have a sun visor. Riding off road, the sun visor gets covered in dust whether you’re using or not and is never clean, then gets scratched, which makes it a liability. Had several helmets with sun visors and several with photochromic visors, I prefer the latter.
The timing on this announcement is uncanny, I've been shopping for the middle ground between a Bell MX9 and Klim Krios Pro for something with a photochromic visor. Bundling the goggles in with the helmet is a great touch, but the 3-year replacement service is big. Kind of pissed I can't buy one just yet, bundle looks made for me.
Please for the love of god... bring out a carbon version of the 8.5. I hate the FID lock so much. It's the reason why i'm moving away from the Klim krios pro after just one season. I would welcome it if you ask around how many people REALLY don't want the simple and safe D-Ring
An avid ADV rider here. I've got nothing against the 'beaks' on top of the helmets. It's fine looking extension but it is not necessary if you are not gonna ride the bike in mud, on muddy trails you must remove the beak. Especially when you are on a paved routes, beaks create extra and unnecessary exposure against the wind.

I have a Scorpion similar design my criticism is the wind noise , I think helmets should come with a decibe level as well , looks nice tho .
Thanks for making a helmet that is comms neutral unlike so many other helmet brands that take kickbacks from a large cooks brand that shan’t be named.
The comms neutral design is also for me a massive selling point. Was looking at new HJC RPHA 60 and passed because of it.
Due to change my helmet in May - this just went to the top of the list

Awesome 🎉

You going to be selling these at the ABR???
Where (what country) are they made?

Yes... what is that bike?
Is this magnetic buckle system on the helmet as safe and reliable as the traditional double D-ring system? It seems less secure in comparison.
Love the fidlock is being used on other brand. Are these medium oval?
Any more colorways coming?

what is the price?
When it will be available for sale? I can't wait to buy one
Available for sale January 2025
@@OfficialLeatt can't wait anymore 🤪 what will be the price in Germany?
@@maxfeuer The ADV 9.5 Helmet Kit Carbon €879 & the ADV 8.5 Helmet kit €659.
All right, if you could add to 8.5 that magnetic buckle instead of DD, I'd preordered it right away
If these fit me as nicely as the motocross 8.5, it will be a very serious contender as my next helmet. I'm so done with my AGX AX9
Version 9.5 will inevitably be compared or pitted against the klim krios Pro. I'm curious to hear the opinions of those who have tried both.

Thank you for the feedback! Noted on the sun visor option we’ll make sure the designers get the feedback.
Sun visors are for touring helmets. You would scratch the crap out of that visor the first time you pull it down after being in the mud.
@ There’s always ways to use it properly bro.

Hmm, I might have to take a fall soon just so I have a good excuse to spend $ on a new helmet 😁

I started dual-sport activities recently and I can’t agree. Sun, tree branches - this is where the “beak” comes handy.
