I packed my husband's trip to Africa. He needed to take a suit and 3 sports jackets. I watched your video. It worked beautifully. No pressing was needed. Huge thank you!
@tracebalin5479 Sounds like a big trip. So glad this was able to help you both. Glad his trip was a success and Im sure he looked great without the worry of how is clothing would come out of the luggage. Thanks again.
I used your technique to fold a jacket and trousers ( 1 suit and 1 tux) for a trip from Los Angeles to Zurich, Switzerland. It was 14 hours from the time I packed then unpacked the jacket and trousers and much to my delight they were wrinkle free! Thank you
@Harold Morris Thank you for the great review. I am so glad this worked well for you on your Zurich trip. LA to Switzerland is a long haul. Here is another video on how to fold a shirt you may like. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/users/shorts3D89N3fzk_k?feature=share
I can't thank you enough. Have been packing blazers for travel for years and never had a good way to fold, and always ended up with wrinkles. This method is so awesome. The fact you are the third generation doing this is fantastic. Love the suit and tie you have on, I'll check your website.
@bobandmarybutera8940 Thank you for the great comment! I am so glad that this fold helped you after years of searching and traveling with folds that were causing wrinkles. Yes, 3rd generation in clothing and still doing it. So many great customers who appreciate beautiful fabrics form Italy and England. If you would like to see some amazing fabrics in suits, jackets or coats, which I cannot put online, I can always email you a selection. It is really the best in the world. You can reach out through the website contact section. Thanks!!!
@sachiironozinsei434 Hi and thanks for watching. This fold is really great and works once you get the hang of it. Glad your grandson likes the video and has been trying it out. Even the little guys don't like wrinkles in their clothing. Never too early to start learning how to take care of your own things.
Thank you for the excellent, step-by-step tutorials on packing a suit jacket, trousers, shirt, and ties. I followed your instructions to the letter and packed a suit into a carry-on bag with enough other clothes for a five day trip. After more than 16 hrs in the carry-on, the suit, shirt, and tie emerged wrinkle-free.
@phillipteitlebaum682 Thank you, from one Philip to another. I appreciate you watching this video and your comment. Im so glad that this and my other videos helped you in your travels.
@calspeed1 Glad to hear this is working out well for you and thanks for watching. I have not yet been to HK or Macau, but I heard Macau is an amazing place, lots of casino's. Safe travels!!!
Your first was average. THIS vid is gold!! 🙏 Thank you!! Using it to travel with 3 suits. Brilliant. Feeling good the suits are well packed and not all messed up. Thank you.
@willjack6725 Thanks for watching this video. Love the comment and greatly appreciated. The older versions became better over time. I take the suggestions from the comments each time to try to make this video better. I just did a new video on the easiest and best tie know that lasts all day in place and you don't need a mirror to do it. You may like that one. Thanks again.
I don't travel a lot, however a while ago I looked up the original folding method and used it for a cruise. I didn't have a hanging bag and didn't want to buy one. This method kept my suit very neat both when I was ready to wear it and it still looked good when I got home! This works. Thank you Suitcafe!
@Don Givens Thanks for watching and using this video to help you on your trip. Glad it worked out well on both sides of the voyage. I have another video on how to fold a shirt you might like. Here is the link for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Still using this method today - recently made a comment on one of your older posts, I'm in NJ on business this week and my suit jacket looks like it came from the cleaners...this method is the best. This is the way...
last week i used your method here for my jacket as well as your methods for folding a shirt and folding pants. threw all these items in a small, rolling, carry-on suitcase. dragged this thing all around the airport, tossing it in and out of cars, etc. got to the hotel, pulled everything out, and everything looked great. A+++ thanks for the videos.
@johnrosenbaum1182 Thank you so much for watching this video and the others on folding your clothing for travel. Its so great that it worked for you on your trip. Sounds like you were rushing around and keeping your clothing in your carry on saved you time and anguish about being able to wear them right out of the bag. Next video coming up is how to tie the best most simple tie knot that stays in place all day. Hope you can watch and thanks for the great comment.
@richarddallen9332 Thank you for watching this video. I too like to cruise. I hope you had an enjoyable one to some exotic destinations. This fold also saved all my formal clothing on cruises I went on. I went in the early 1990s as well when there used to be a formal night for tuxedos. Seem you were on one of these types recently. Must have been a great trip. I recently did Iceland and the North Pole. You may like to see one of my latest videos as a request from a subscriber on how to fold a vest. I put a link here for you if you would like to watch it. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/T47O4AMHzbg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for this video and the vest video link, Suit Café! I, too, have a formal night on a cruise in a few days and have been trying to figure out how to fold my SO's suit jacket and vest!
So I travelled for work from iceland to the US - so first time with suits, i folded 2 jackets like that - also for the first time, after ~18h of travel both suits looked perfectly fine when i put them out of my luggage in the hotel. I have to admit when i watched the video and folded my jackets myself i thought there is no way this would work, but it works like a charm 😁 perfect video!
@a_mega_pint1792 Wow!!! I just got back from Iceland. I went all over the island. It was an amazing place. Then I went to Svalbard, North Pole also so interesting, then to the North Cape of Norway. Tromso was a great town. Loved the entire arctic region. So glad you used this fold and it worked well for you. I used it on my trip as well. You may like to see another video I have on how to fold a shirt for travel. Here is a link. Enjoy!!! Maybe I see you at the Sky Lagoon. Lol. th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
I just used your technique to fit my suit into a small carry-on to fly to my sister-in-law's funeral, and it worked flawlessly. I even remembered how to do it again for the return flight. Thank you!
Took me a while, the twist and push through kinda hard to grasp initally but after 10/15 minute investment this has worked very well for me. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this clearly!
@Yorkshire Pud Thank you for watching and so glad you were able to take a short practice and get this fold down pat. It is such a space saver to fold the jacket in the luggage and not have to carry fold up bags onto the plane. Here is another video on how to fold a shirt for your luggage. I am about to do an update to this one. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@daledo8604 Hi and thanks for watching this video. I know this takes a bit of practice, but it really works. Seems like you got it down on the first try. I hope this helps you in your travels. It always works well for me. Even some of my customers ask me to pack their luggage for them and I do it. They are amazed when they get to their destination how their clothing comes out. Safe travels.
I packed a seersucker suit, sports coat and even my leather jacket with this folding technique. Did not see even the slightest wrinkle or crease. Thanks for sharing.
@davidh6298 Thanks so much for watching and for the great comment. The seersucker is a tough one because that can really wrinkle. Glad this worked out for you including the leather piece. Safe travels!!!
@Scott Roberts So glad you enjoyed this video. Yes it is better than the others and that is exactly why I made a few updates of this fold. Here is a video of how to fold a shirt for travel just like in the shirt factory. I hope you enjoy it!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Absolutely great video!! Thank you! Use this. Period. Went from East to West coast for interviews. Forgot one of my suits folded this way and after 6 days- still looked great!! Had another suit it also came out great. 🎉
@Justin P Glad you liked this update and thank you for the in depth review. I have an older video that i am about to update on how to fold a shirt. You may like it. Here it is and an update is coming soon. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@Joy Mae Have a great move, glad this video was able to help out. If you have any shirt folding to do check out this video I did on folding shirts like in the factory when they are new. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for this, brother. I just made my first fold to pac for a wedding in Italy, and it seemed to go off without a hitch. Very thorough and thoughtful. Good stuff!
@maxbowie3254 Thanks, Max for watching the video and glad it worked well for you on your trip to Italy. My favorite place by the way. I do have other folding videos for pants, shirts etc, but I just made this video not long ago about how to buy a tuxedo, since you mentioned a wedding. Here is a link. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/SACOdrmYG8g/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much Menh .. I’m currently a new airline pilot and I’m learning the ropes, I will report back with my update, and mostly likely gonna give you a shoutout on my channel once I start making videos for fellow new pilots
@Fly With O'BEN First good luck with the new position. Very exciting. Flying must be a lifelong dream for you. Im so glads this video helped you in packing your luggage and if anyone need to pack small for long haul it would be a pilot. Here is another video I have on how to fold a shirt for your luggage. I will be updating this one soon. Godspeed!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@christiamlouis4218 Thanks for referring to this video for all your travel packing. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get this fold down, you may even travel more with less hassle. Thanks again!!!
@RedWolf003 So great to hear that this fold worked for you and thanks for watching the video. Try this folds on other types of things, like a coat or track jacket, it really works on must items that have shoulders to fold.
@nikhilsahay Thank you for watching this video. So glad this fold worked for you and you were bale to get it down in na short amount of time. As you can see it really does work well. You may like to see another video I have on how to fold pants for your luggage. Its interesting how folding pants and jeans are very different, actually totally different ways to fold. @michaelkaplan6089 Wow and thanks. Glad this worked out for you. I just did 5 suits and a blazer over 10 hours from Krakow to NYC and back. Didn't unpack for 2 days on my return and wore a suit that day from the luggage.
Heyo, Im a VR esports player, compE student, and not very good with suits and professional attire at all. Im probably the one of the weirdest demographics for videos like this, and I have to say your clear instructions with clarifications on the trickiest parts made this so easy for me. I'm flying home but need to take professional headshots for my job search stuff, and this made it so I didnt need to worry about an extra suit bag. Genuinely awesome video. I'm probably gonna need help with ties, shoes, and other professional attire stuff while Im going through job hunting and interviews, so Im definitely subbing. I just wanted to say thanks.
@aviatonic2839 thank you for the great comment and sorry for not answering sooner, had a bit of eye surgery. Im glad the fold helped . I was once a gamer as well, but Im going back to my Atari days and Space Invaders, Lol. Feel free to get in touch if you need any advice, Im glad to help you out. You can send me an email if you like to hello@suitcafe.com.
@HarryPettigrew Thanks so much for watching this video. Glad it was bale to help you. I may make a new update to this video, will keep you posted here. Thanks!
@JasonDenison Hi Jason, thanks for watching this video. Glad it was helpful to you and you found it. This fold has been handed down through the generations of clothiers in my family. Me being the fourth. You may like to see this video on folding a shirt for your luggage. Shirts are a bit different in that most are cotton and will wrinkle some what, but there is definitely a proper way to do it to maximize space. I have a link for you here. @DaveandGinny972 Greatly appreciated. Glad my videos are helping you out. If you have any suggestions on videos you would like to see about menswear , I am open to suggestions. Thanks.
@Vampire Moth Thank you so much for watching this vid and for the great comment. Glad this was able to help you out. You may like to see another video I have on how to fold a shirt like in the factory for your travels. I made it 2 years ago and I will be doing a remake of this video this week. Here is the original for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@TheMrNine. Good luck. Its not easy but stick with it. I was born into the business you could say. Feel free to reach out if I can be of any assistance.
@nathanespinoza4580 Thank you for watching. I am glad this helped you out. It really does work on long or short haul trips. You may like to see how to fold a shirt for your luggage in the best way to help alleviate wrinkles. Dress shirts being mostly cotton tend to wrinkle no matter what, but this fold keeps the front nice and straight, so if you are wearing a jacket, no one will be seeing your sleeves anyway. Here is a link for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@nolramjm Thank you for watching this video and for the great comment. After many versions of this video on my channel I always take into consideration the comments and try to incorporate those into the next version. Safe travels.
@marc-andregauthier5006 Thank you for watching and so glad this fold helped you on a voyage. You may like to see another video I have of how to fold a shirt like it comes from the factory. This works for travel as well. but cotton shirts tend to wrinkle anyway, but this fold does help. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks SUITCAFE. This is very useful specially when i don't want my jacket to be wrinkled up in the luggage or in the carry on bag when travel overseas. Though im sure ill have to review this video again to remember how to fold it like you did like a bro :) Great video review specially the belts too. Look forward to more of your videos along the way.
@weltsauerstoff Thank you for the great comment. I am glads this helped you. I have another video on how to fold a shirt for travel that you may like. I am about to do an update to it, but here is the original. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@ladyfirehorse2230 Hi, so glad you watched this video and yes it will work on a trench coat or overcoat. I would suggest making one extra fold at the very end if the coat is full length unless your luggage can accommodate the coat after the final fold over. Hope that helps. Get back in touch and let everyone know how it went.
@kimber6650 Thank you for watching this video and your great comment. Im so glad you found this most updated version and please do watch the pants, shirt and tie videos on how to pack these things in luggage. Lately I have been doing many unboxing of the custom clothing I make. I will revisit the folding the shirt video soon. For now the next video getting posted is one on tuxedo shirts and then the new summer tie collection. If you like small fish, martini glasses, ice cream cones on silk neckties you will like this new collection. Lots of fun colors.
@TIik Tok King Thank you for watching this video. I am glad it was able to help you keep wrinkles off your clothing during travel. I have another video on how to fold a shirt, just the same as in the shirt factory. You may like it. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@CRAIGLSANDERS Thanks so much for watching this video and really glad it worked well for you. Yes I have videos on how to fold many other clothing items. Here is one video on how to fold pants and jeans for luggage. You'll be surprised to know that folding these two items are different. Here is a link. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/kPr1Tn3rSto/w-d-xo.html
@johnscholes8200 Glad this worked well for you and thanks for watching. Yes the old video is showing its age. Over the last few years I have taken the suggestions of many comments to make this as easy to understand as possible. Thanks again.
@Mr. Honest Glad you were able to use this video and saved you some money. Here is a fold for your shirts. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@THEWIELDBOYS8700 Hi and thank you. So glad this works for you. You are right that this could work well for shipping too. I was once in a clothing factory in Italy. In high end clothing factories they usually ship in standing boxes hanging on hangars to protect against wrinkles. This was a lower end factory making machine made garments. They were packing suits to ship to South America. I could not believe that they were tightly rolling everything up in a ball. I showed them this fold and how it also saved them space. It changed how they ship and I'm sure their customers were happier when they received their orders. Thanks again for watching.
@jimsaintamour2 Glad to have you on the channel. Great that this fold helped you pack your things for a trip. It does work well. Lots of new videos coming up especially my custom shoes unboxings. I hope you will tune in.
@proximacentaur1654 Thanks for watching the latest update. Glad it was able to help you. If you have some time there are other videos on how to fold, pants, jeans and shirts. Thanks again.
@bryanwertzer5051 Thank you for watching. How to fold a vest is a great idea. I actually just sent a customer a vest for a suit he purchased last year and now added a vest. Of course I folded it without making a video. Thanks for the suggestion.
I love this video. Nice explanation, then if I need a refresher, I just go right to the end. Phenomenal job. New subscriber! Love that you removed the guitar
@paladin1726 Thanks again, you're so right no guitar here. Years ago on TH-cam it was fashionable to have background music on everything, however mine was too loud in the original video. You found the best update to this fold. I hope you were able to master it. It really does work. Safe travels!!!
@@suitcafe yep! Going through a move and knocked out 8 jackets very quickly and used the excellent advice in your trouser and button ups tutorials. Excellent videos! Definitely checking out all of your others and recommending you to friends. Thank you for your devotion to these videos !
@ctackett007 Thank you for watching this video. I am so glad it was able to help you and your clothing arrived out of your luggage without wrinkles. You may enjoy another video I have about how to fold a shirt for luggage, like new. Here is a link for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/iL7J9J6ad2Q/w-d-xo.html
Hi i want to see more things similar like this please. This helps me know how to when i pack my clothes. What about bag shoes? Like what happens if you dont want your walking shoes to be all dirty over your nice clothes in a suit case luggage and you want to keep the shoes away from the clothes but the shoes is inside between the clothes inside the suit case. Maybe special bags or something to keep away from any dirt or anything since shoes that you take with you will be used quite a lot when travel right ? and there for sometiems i i bring my snow shoes vs my walking normal shoes i might visit berlin where no snow is but i travel to russia where theres snow it a week later and i start to wear my thick heavy snow shoes to walk on the snow. Because the normal walking shoes while i was in berlin wont be used in russia where theres snow right? so the shoes are always kept in the suit case or some kind of bag. I and dont want my clothes to be ruined by the heavy compartment of shoes over my neat jackets and so forth. Can you help? please ?
@nellythedog brownie thank you for watching this video and glad it has helped you with packing your luggage. You are correct that dirty shoes from the street is gross to put against your clothing in the luggage. I will make a video about this based on your suggestion so please watch for it, probably not until the first week of November. In the meantime, a great way to keep your clothing clean from your shoes or snow boots is to use large ziplock bags, the 2 gallon size and bring extras with you to keep clean, so when you repack to return home from Berlin or Russia, you can throw away the old bags and use new ones. Another good idea are the small trash baggies used in an office desk trash can. These are thin and light and you can bring many in a roll. Hope that helps for now!!!
@DosPalomitas Hello and so glad to hear this worked well for you. Thanks for watching. I hope you get a chance to watch a few more of the folding vids on the channel, especially the difference in how to fold trousers and jeans for luggage. Thanks again!
@May Anne Joy D. Romanes Thank you for watching this vidoe this was my latest update to how to fold a suit jacket. You may like another video I mad eon how to fold a shirt for your luggage, just like from a factory. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
This is amazing. I’m now packing for my trip coming up in a month. I guess I don’t want to let my jackets sit in the suitcase that long, so I’ll wait until it’s time to fly so they don’t sit there so long. Which makes me wonder: how long can you keep these folded like this?
@Athan Datu Thank you for watching this video. I also would not leave your clothing, any clothing folded up in a suitcase for that long, but a few days wouldn't hurt anything. Sometimes when I return home from a long trip I'm just too lazy to unpack and the suits stay in the luggage a few days. I take them right out and hang them up and within one day in am wearing them again. You may also like this video of how to fold a shirt like in the factory. Works well for packing. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Hrllo, After the very last time I push the arms through to be able to fold it in half to pack it away, I find that my lapels are no longer lined up. You don’t show the lineup of the lapels before you fold the jacket in have to put in the suitcase. I presume that they should always line up, or am I wrong? Thank you very much for your video. In the 1950s, I worked part time in a men’s haberdashery store in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, when I was in high school. It was a wonderful experience. David from Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
@159India1 Hello David, people don't realize that in the menswear shops of years ago a salesman could make a long career in clothing. It was a great camaraderie between salespeople and customers that you would see day in and day out and season after season. My grandfather had his stores open during those years in Manhattan. Stag Shop in the village on 8th street, House of Cromwell on Lexington and 55-56 street, Phil's, Alfred's and Bernardo's on 14th street and a few more names I do not know. In regards to the folding of the jacket. If you can keep the lapels close together that would be best, but if they come slightly apart, not exactly lined up, nothing bad will happen. It takes a little practice, but the fold work s from keeping wrinkles away. Thank you for watching. I hope you will subscribe.
@Vamsi Avva Thank you for watching. I think this fold has helped so many people across the different versions of this video I have made. This is the latest version and best one I think. I was in the middle east a few weeks ago and flew 15 hours with 5 suits and a tuxedo. When I got back I didn't unpack for 3 days. The suit were in great shape. You may like this video on how to fold a shirt for your luggage as well. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@@vamsiavva9481 You can use it for linen certainly. I have however as you know linen is made to be wrinkled but in the right places. Such as inside elbows, back of knees across the back of the jacket. Using this fold on linen will create some wrinkles because of the nature of pure linen. You may have to hang the suit for 24 hours in the closet so some wrinkles fall out and you can start to create your own upon wearing the linen suit. I would also pack it last on top of everything else for less pressure. Hope that helps.
@DethVmnt Wow, great. Have fun at the wedding and have a safe trip. Many in the comments have taken long haul trips and reported back that they wore their clothing right from the luggage. Here is another video on how to fold a shirt for travel. Be sure to find the one on pants. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@@suitcafe I folded three outfits for various family members following your instructions, everything worked flawless! Thank you so much, it just works. I used some cardboard boxes as additional protection inside a traveling bag since we did not want to carry bulky suitcases when travelling with trains... Shirts, pants and jackets had no creases or wrinkles!
Very helpful, however... what's the difference between the intermediary and last form? You can get to the last form by twisting the initial form the other way around... is it just to make sure that the lapels line up?
@António Costa Amaral The lapels need to be lifted and lined up so when you fold, the natural roll of the collar falls back into place when you unfold and a new type of crease is not created by keeping the collar and lapels in the down position. Hope that helps & thank you for watching.
@jeangoldson7192 Hello and yes this will work for a leather jacket. Anything you need to fold that has shoulders and a collar this fold will work for. Shirts however will get more wrinkled since they are made from cotton mostly. A material that inherently wrinkles. Thanks for watching and I hope that helps.
@bawbee27 Hi and thanks for watching this video and glad it was able to help you on your travels. That's right no dry cleaning when you return or arrive at your destination. For me, I hate to carry things on the plane so no more garment bags. You should see a new raincoat I designed for the warm summer months. You can roll it up in a ball and keep it in a backpack and it doesn't wrinkle at all. Super light and super stretch. I made a video for it. Here is a link if you would like to watch. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/tg9-G0BDRro/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sG_ITqGdABJkI9wQ
@Dulce Andonaegui This fold can be used with any jacket type or fabric. Just so you know velvet, depending on the composition, make lease creases, not wrinkles. Velvet is a long fiber and those can become bent if folded over a long period of time. One trip would not be a big deal and velvet can be brushed down to bring it back, so just be careful how long the jacket stays folded with pressure on top of it. Hope that helps.
@lucasarnold8567 Thanks for watching. I hope you go the hang of it. Its actually a fold handed down through 4 generations of my family in the menswear business. Did you try this on a trip? Let me know.
@Brandon Perez Thank you for watching. Glad this worked out. You may enjoy a video on how to fold a shirt for your luggage. I am about to do an update to this video. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
I had no hope this would work but holy @#$&, it worked! Traveled to a destination wedding and my jacket would be in my way too small luggage for two days. It came out like looking just like it came out of the closet. If you have some sort of gratitude account I will buy you a coffee!
@davidg7445 Haha, and thanks for watching. I have not such account, but thank you. I am so glad this worked well for you. I know it takes a bit of practice, but it certainly works for any travel even long haul. Check out my website if you have some time. suitcafe.com
@kenheang Thank you for watching. Glad you were able to use this video and fold for your next trip. You may like another video I have on how to fold a shirt for your luggage. It is also very helpful, but with shirts there may always be some wrinkling, the idea is try to get them in not so visible places. Here is the link for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Great technique. But there is no difference between the first twist/push and the second push through that happens around 6:50. In both cases the jacket is inside out, halved vertically, with sleeves inside, and lapels touching. It’s just whether the right or left half is on the “outside”. The fold itself is the same just a mirror image.
@michaelc9764 Hi and thanks for watching. In a sense you are correct, but that final push to the other side seems to give a more commanding feel over the jacket. More of a control over how it will finally sit in the luggage. It really sets the two shoulders together just a bit better.
I just complained on the other video that you chose too dark of a color with a really bright background and you were WAY too close. This fixes this. I wish I'd just seen this one first.
@Pandemos No problem, glad you watched this. I have another video on how to fold a shirt for travel. I hope you like it. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@Paul Higgins Thank you for watching and the great comment. Are you across the pond as they say? You may like another vide I have about how to fold a shirt like in the factory for travel. I will be doing an update to this soon. Here it is for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@anelejoncaite Hi thanks for watching. You can fold a child’s suit in the same way. It should come out fine just like a men’s suit jacket. You can fold pretty much any clothing item like this. I saw your comment on my older video as well, but answering here for you. Thank you & safe travels.
@yuikol14 Thanks for watching this video. It is my latest version. Are you folding the jacket in half at the end and not 3/4 one side? Get back to me. Thanks.
@CompleteCrusher999 Thank you for watching this video. So glad it was able to help you, hopefully on a long journey. It certainly works well to keep wrinkles away from your jackets and suits. There is another video on how to fold a shirt like in a factory. Once a shirt is opened from its original package its always so difficult to refold it especially for luggage. Not getting wrinkles in a shirt is really tough since most are all cotton and wrinkle no matter what, but with that you can fold it in a way that if you are wearing a jacket, some of those wrinkles can be hidden away. Here is a link for you if you would like to watch that video. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html

@Manny No problem and thanks for watching. This chair is from Staples, however if you look at their website online for chairs to accommodate bigger, heavier people, there is a much nicer, more sturdy and comfortable selection than what is initially shown. Hope that helps.
@elpadrino1024 Hi, thanks for watching this video. Actually I am going on a long trip this Monday with 4 suits. When I get back Ill make a video of opening the suitcase. Flight is about 9.5 hours. Stay tuned...
@Eat Love & Explore Thank you and glad you liked this video and it helped out. I have another video on how to fold a shirt that you may want to see. Here it is. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@boomboompao411 Glad you were able to try out this fold. Possibly a bit more practice may help the situation. Glad to hear the wrinkles eventually came out with a little bathroom steam. This is currently the most updated version of this video I have done. If I create a new update, Ill keep you posted right here. Thanks!!!
@kamikaze9271 Ho & thanks for watching. Glad this video helped you in your travels. Always nice to wear the clothes out of the luggage after a long trip & not have any wrinkles. Hopefully you can watch a few other of my folding & unboxing videos of custom clothing. Enjoy!!!
@davidcarbone3385 thank you so much for watching. Im glad this was able to help you. I just released a new video on the easiest tie knot you can tie that lasts in place all day. Hope you can watch it.
@witoldpetrynowski7550 Thanks for watching this video and glad you were able to get down this fold. It really does work. You may like to see how to fold trousers for your luggage without wrinkles. The two videos go hand in hand. here is a link for you. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/iL7J9J6ad2Q/w-d-xo.html
@madhumithavenkataraman6645 Thanks for watching this video. You can fold the same way and even fold over one more time if the duffle is smaller. I actually have a much older video where I fold into a small duffle bag. You may want to watch it. I put a link for you here. I hope it helps. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/IxbZ6KJ8oeM/w-d-xo.html
@Samy Sanchez Thank you for watching this video. It could take a few tries to get it down properly. Practice is the best way and pausing the video as it goes along to be sure you can see each step. I have another video in the library you can view that has a slow motion section of this fold, but this video you just saw is the latest update. Thanks again.
@Fabian V. Wow that is so great to hear and thanks for coming back to leave this comment. You may like my video on how to fold a shirt Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@peroxideguy thanks for watching. Not sure what you are referring to, however, if you read the comments this fold really works great especially for long haul flights. It takes some practice, but you will be victorious in the end. Enjoy!!!
@thomasmorelock5699 Hi Thomas, thanks for watching this video and trying out this fold. It takes a bit of practice. Possibly try to freeze the video at certain spots and try it again because it really does work. Comment back here if you have any other questions.
@Freamon_L Thanks for watching this video and trying out the fold. It does take a bit of practice, and sorry you are just not getting the results you want. What I will suggest is for you to follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram if you have either of those platforms, I will make a super slow, close up video just for you and give you a shout out in the video. I will post it on both platforms. I can get it done this weekend, so try to watch it Sunday night or Monday. Hopefully that will give you a better viewing of how to get the fold done. Tik Tok @suit_cafe Instagram @suitcafe Thanks.
@pudmuppy78 well not really. Many people need to watch this many times over to get the fold exactly correct for a long haul trip, but for you I have a few videos that are about 60 seconds long. Try this one. th-cam.com/video/F3o4Wz1BahE/w-d-xo.html
@TRHardware Thank for watching. Many people need to focus on the different parts and pause this video to understand the fold and do it correctly. Maybe you would like this video better on how to fold a shirt for travel. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
@surfer7876 Thanks for watching the video. If you read almost all the comments on this video, many people have traveled for 18-24 hours with suits in their luggage and come out without wrinkles, the vast majority. It takes a bit of practice, but this fold certainly works. I use it every time I travel for short and long haul 15 hour plus flights. I always fold my suits. I should mention that a friend of mine went to the Middle East from NY and took 12 suits. I packed his luggage for him. He wore the suits direct from the luggage, no pressing. Take some time and give it a little practice. Good luck.
King👑👑👑👑👑 tb😊😊
Thanks!!!
Why are some people complaining? Even my grandson go this after a few tries with his tiny arms. Great video👍
Folded "like a charm." Now I'm ready for meetings in HK and Macau. Cheers!
@calspeed1 Glad to hear this is working out well for you and thanks for watching. I have not yet been to HK or Macau, but I heard Macau is an amazing place, lots of casino's. Safe travels!!!
Your first was average.
THIS vid is gold!! 🙏
Thank you!!
Thanks so much for doing this again with a lighter garment! That made it so much easier to learn and practice. Your techniques are the best.
@mulciberus Thanks so much for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed the update. Have you seen any of my unboxing of custom men's clothing?
This technique definitely worked for me during my cruise. This really saved my jacket for the formal dinner night.
Thank you!
@joemaricich1733 First, so sorry for your loss. I am glad this fold helped you out on your trip and hope all is well with the family at this time.
Felt like I had no idea what I was doing the whole time. Yet magically, after every step, it looked just like yours. Well explained, sir! Thank you :)
Genius.
This video is better than your others because the test jacket contrasts with you dark suit and I can see the finer points of the twisting
Moving to Europe from the states and this is a lifesaver for me with my blazers! Thank you 🎉

I will be updating this one soon. Godspeed!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Second time I’ve used this technique. My goto for travel. ❤❤
@christiamlouis4218 Thanks for referring to this video for all your travel packing. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get this fold down, you may even travel more with less hassle. Thanks again!!!
Watched the first video, didn’t get it quite right, and I ran into this video right after. You’re a Hero💪
@Delon Chu Glad you found the most updated version. Takes a bit of practice, but it works.
It worked for me!! Thank you for the well narrated informative video!
@RedWolf003 So great to hear that this fold worked for you and thanks for watching the video. Try this folds on other types of things, like a coat or track jacket, it really works on must items that have shoulders to fold.
Tried it couple of times and wolla. It’s amazing. Thank you 🙏🏻
@nikhilsahay Thank you for watching this video. So glad this fold worked for you and you were bale to get it down in na short amount of time. As you can see it really does work well. 2 blazers from the US to Europe. This method is perfect !!!
Much better now, I did it from your first explanation. Thank you very much!

Searched every where for a video like this. THANK YOU!!!
Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks again, and for sending me the link to this video. I'm now off to watch how to fold my trousers!

@Vampire Moth Thank you so much for watching this vid and for the great comment. Glad this was able to help you out. Absolute wizardry, thank you.
Finally that you my friend well done. I watched like a 1000 videos. But thank God for you. Well done well done. 😎.

@marc-andregauthier5006 Thank you for watching and so glad this fold helped you on a voyage. You may like to see another video I have of how to fold a shirt like it comes from the factory.

Wow! I'm kinda late to the party here but will this work on a trench coat? Thank you!
@@suitcafe Thank you! Much appreciated. 😃
You are awesome! I watched both and am so grateful 🙏 for this more detailed video ❤ I will also check out the trouser video. Thanks so much.

@Mr. Honest Glad you were able to use this video and saved you some money. Here is a fold for your shirts. Enjoy!!! th-cam.com/video/DWSSLrrdJsU/w-d-xo.html
This is awesome thank you for sharing. I use this technique for when I'm shipping
Thank you! You’re a great instructor
@jimsaintamour2 Glad to have you on the channel. Great that this fold helped you pack your things for a trip. It does work well. Lots of new videos coming up especially my custom shoes unboxings. I hope you will tune in.

@paladin1726 Thanks again, you're so right no guitar here. Years ago on TH-cam it was fashionable to have background music on everything, however mine was too loud in the original video. You found the best update to this fold. I hope you were able to master it. It really does work. Safe travels!!!

@mr.bahbush2739 Glad you enjoyed this video and hoped it helped you on some new year travels.
Brilliant!!! This works great.
@DosPalomitas Hello and so glad to hear this worked well for you. Thanks for watching. I hope you get a chance to watch a few more of the folding vids on the channel, especially the difference in how to fold trousers and jeans for luggage. Thanks again!
How excellent Sir,surely I'll try it
@May Anne Joy D.
I'm gonna try this fold. Not used to folding suits !
@@suitcafe Thanks Phil, I wish this fold works for a linen suit jacket as well. Any thoughts ?
@@vamsiavva9481 You can use it for linen certainly. I have however as you know linen is made to be wrinkled but in the right places. Such as inside elbows, back of knees across the back of the jacket. Using this fold on linen will create some wrinkles because of the nature of pure linen. You may have to hang the suit for 24 hours in the closet so some wrinkles fall out and you can start to create your own upon wearing the linen suit. I would also pack it last on top of everything else for less pressure. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for this video. I am planning my travel for a wedding and I do not own any specialized garment bag. Seems I do not need to buy one.
Thank you very much for this video
@mosesojwang7763 So glad this video helped you and thanks for watching. Was it a long haul trip or a short one?

Very helpful, however... what's the difference between the intermediary and last form? You can get to the last form by twisting the initial form the other way around... is it just to make sure that the lapels line up?
@António Costa Amaral The lapels need to be lifted and lined up so when you fold, the natural roll of the collar falls back into place when you unfold and a new type of crease is not created by keeping the collar and lapels in the down position. Hope that helps & thank you for watching.
Will this work for a leather jacket?
@jeangoldson7192 Hello and yes this will work for a leather jacket. Anything you need to fold that has shoulders and a collar this fold will work for. Shirts however will get more wrinkled since they are made from cotton mostly. A material that inherently wrinkles. Thanks for watching and I hope that helps.
My shit was packed into a suitcase for 10 days and it did not need any ironing or anything. Just had to iron the shirts. So recommend
@qorazx Thanks for watching and so glad this worked for you. I do the same sometimes, too lazy to un pack, but in the end it all comes out good.
Resolved my anxiety around dry cleaning when traveling
@bawbee27 Hi and thanks for watching this video and glad it was able to help you on your travels. That's right no dry cleaning when you return or arrive at your destination. For me, I hate to carry things on the plane so no more garment bags. You should see a new raincoat I designed for the warm summer months. You can roll it up in a ball and keep it in a backpack and it doesn't wrinkle at all. Super light and super stretch. I made a video for it. Here is a link if you would like to watch. Hello :).
Would this work with a velvet sport coat?
Thank you.
Oh wow, good to know! Thank you so much.
Great trick!
@lucasarnold8567 Thanks for watching. I hope you go the hang of it. Its actually a fold handed down through 4 generations of my family in the menswear business. Did you try this on a trip? Let me know.
Thank you. God bless u
@MIND9988T Thank you for watching and glad this video and fold was able to help you on your journey.

Thanks I did watch that
Great technique.
It really sets the two shoulders together just a bit better.
perfect. thanks!!!
@GabrielRojasBowe thank you so much and very glad this worked well for you.
I just complained on the other video that you chose too dark of a color with a really bright background and you were WAY too close.
This fixes this. I wish I'd just seen this one first.

@simmonlinn4630 Thanks for watching this video. The gift of gab is an art form, seriously though some people need more explanation than others.
Can I fold a child's suit 3 times instead ?
@anelejoncaite Hi thanks for watching. You can fold a child’s suit in the same way. It should come out fine just like a men’s suit jacket. You can fold pretty much any clothing item like this. I saw your comment on my older video as well, but answering here for you. Thank you & safe travels.
My end result looks more like a pentagon instead of a square. The top of the collar is sticking out on top. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Do one more video, this time fold the jacket, then pack it into a suit case wait 2 days and then unpack it and model it to show no wrinkles👍🏽

The fold is correct but my collar isn’t flat?
@Zachary Wehner Hi Zach, thanks for watching and the comment. Are you lifting the collar and lapels and lining them up?
I dont know if I did it correctly
@Samy Sanchez Thank you for watching this video. It could take a few tries to get it down properly. Practice is the best way and pausing the video as it goes along to be sure you can see each step. I have another video in the library you can view that has a slow motion section of this fold, but this video you just saw is the latest update. Thanks again.
I was missing the last step, nonetheless still worker great for me, I was able to pack my suit in my backpack and it was wrinkle free 8)

I must have done something way wrong. Tried this today and my suit jacket looks like it got ran over by a truck lol
@thomasmorelock5699 Hi Thomas, thanks for watching this video and trying out this fold. It takes a bit of practice. Possibly try to freeze the video at certain spots and try it again because it really does work. Comment back here if you have any other questions.

How to Make a Two Minute Video Take Eleven Minutes to Watch
@pudmuppy78 well not really. Many people need to watch this many times over to get the fold exactly correct for a long haul trip, but for you I have a few videos that are about 60 seconds long. Try this one. th-cam.com/video/F3o4Wz1BahE/w-d-xo.html

I followed the steps carefully just to end up with a suit full of wrinkles after a 3hrs travel. Don't even waste your time here folks
Good luck.
