It depends on who drives it. If the owner tracks the car regularly then yeah. But for people like me who never takes his car to the track , stingray is plenty power. I would not spend more money on z06.
I love my zo6. Definitely worth it. Nothing like shifting at 8500. The handling with the wider tires and stance make the normal c8 a regular car no comparison
The C6 Z06 the nice thing about that car almost more potential than any other car big block V8 the problem with the new C8 too much tec shit in it not for serious drivers and you can modify the C6 for cheap. I hate all the pussy driver AIDS I like the Pure Car and that's what a C6 Z06 gives you it's basically a driver's Man car. Especially the first year C6 Z06 that came out that's the most raw one that's the one I choose to have and boy that thing goes it's lighter and it's got a slightly better aggressive tune it's really fast and jumps off the line.
It’s all great while it’s running and it’s under warranty but I personally believe that it’s going to be a nightmare to someone down the road that does not have the appropriate funds to keep up with the car like this, when things start to fail

If you're concerned with repair bills, then this car is out of your budget anyway. People who can afford this car don't own just this car. They own 3 or 4 cars, trucks and SUV's. The Z06 is just ONE of 4 cars I own.

The engines are very different, and I’d imagine the driving experience is very different. The Z06 is supposed to be much more track focused. The E-Ray is coming soon, and the ZR1 after that. You’re the only one that can truly say what “worth it” actually means because you know what you want out of the driving experience
Depends. i Love the Regular 70th Anniversary C8 or a C8 3LT. Only thing i Love better about the Z06 is that Exhaust & Sound which i see now can be done aftermarket.

The SOUND would be the only reason to buy this car. With modifications, you can make the same power for less money on a Stingray. But that EXOTIC SOUND!! You can not duplicate that in a STINGRAY.

They're both C8s Steve. I believe you intended to compare Z06 vs Z51 models. And Z06 is not the top rung or top model. The E-Ray is actually a quicker car. And ZR1 and Zora C8s will also both eclipse the Z06.

I doubt it . They will likely produce the car for at least 3-4 years. Way too much R&D. Also the ZR1 and Zora will be a modified version of the same engine with turbo chargers and electric assist ..
'Stingray' Z06??? No such thing. The 'Stingray' and the 'Z06' are two very different Corvettes. To be honest, there's already a trust issue. But whenever I hear a car dealer misquote something about what they're trying to sell me, especially something as basic as the name, it tells me "I couldn't care less about this product, I just want your money."

One thing i will say about the corvette is that its far more striking in person than any photo or video conveys. The first problem it seems all photographers and videographers make when shooting cars is shooting low to the ground. This give a very false impression of its size and proportions. When you see it in the flesh, its appearance is very wide and very low, in is new mid engine layout it very much has the appeal of a foreign supercar. that said. its also its very American design language that comes across jarring at best. Yet another case of origami by its head designer. they guy simply doesn't have curves in his vocabulary. Also the corvette suffers greatly from its paintjob. Its not even close to that of its price tag. It looks GM cheap. I wouldn't say the corvette is a beautiful design, its not, its not even cute, its rather striking. much like many past Ferrari's.
I paid $250,000 and have ZERO regrets. Even at the current inflated prices, it's still a much better value than a Ferrari or Lamborghini. You get a lot more car for a lot less money. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
I can understand you're logic. Curious to know if Porsche has lots of qualified technicians because we are always looking for good techs. While I believe in all of our techs here we have one that just received his Mark of Excellence--and he's just an amazing tech that we are blessed to have on our team.

Though, there is also an overall dealership experience factor that I would want paying that price point and what GM lacks. Chevrolet via dealerships are now selling cars at the same price as Porsche AND adding to the MSRP just like Porsche but lacks the high end customer service.
Do you only thing missing with this new C8 is a legacy, 20 years from now I won’t be around to see it but this C8 model will be in the same category as a Ferrari, out with the old in with the new generations
"I've been working here 10 years". We'll I've never worked at a Chevy dealership and I can tell you there is NO such thing as a "Stingray Z06" This is exactly why when I car shop and a salesman starts spewing falsehoods or simply doesn't know the product, I walk away. Salesmen are on commission. I come back and request another salesperson who knows what they are talking about. There are certain products and brands that you just have to know what you are talking about. CORVETTE is one of those iconic brands. The customers coming in to buy them probably already know everything about it. Don't ruin the experience and say some made up BS.

Overpriced and not a daily driver. I also question long term reliability of flat plane crank engine. And I’m a current and long time vette owner.
