I met him at the Nesadel club in Pasadena Texas I was the only person in the club and we had a couple of drinks together and he said you are going to get a helluva show and I definitely got one
I was there, probably the best edition of Pistoia Blues Festival, we had Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, Booker T & MG's, Blues Brothers Band (with Sam Moore & Rufus Thomas), Johnny Winter, Steve Ray Vaughan, to name just some of them, It was a real BluesFestival!
Moe Tucker (VU/solo) plays that song fantastic too, nice and raw.. She used to be a drummer for the Velvet Underground in the '60 (with Lou Reed, etc.) but when she went solo she based her whole guitar style on Bo Diddley, it's really amazing! -Crackin' Up - Moe Tucker live in Seattle (Terrastock, 2000)
Two of my heroes on stage together!! My mum used to put a reel to reel tape player, in my pram, to send me to sleep when i was a baby! 😐.... Pretty Thing and Bring It To Jerome were the first songs i ever remember hearing.... The tape player was red and white and matched my pram. She used to park me outside the local café and run a wire through the window while she went inside. I remember being parked next to several motorbikes and being given chips by some if their owners 🤣 😂🤣😂
Seen BO perform live, Burke Glen Ballroom, Monroeville, PA in the early 60's, Palace Inn, Monroeville, PA late 90's, Benedum, Pittsburgh 2000's +-. BO was the Man!!
It's Debbie Hastings - his bass player and musical director of 25 years. Bo was a great promoter of women guitarists and singers. Look at his record over 50 years. He did a lot for women in rock and roll/blues.

Fanatstic and it includes Crackin' Up, one of my favourite Bo Diddley songs, especially live.

Shouldn’t it be Bo Diddley & Ron Wood? Bo deserves top billing for several reasons.

5 min in, is that faye reid on bass? She played with del shannon in Sydney, last concert before he died.
No, its Debby Hastings on bass here.
@@Agarfamartey Thanx! She's good - both are.

Used to be you bought a ticket and heard actual songs, instead of "superstars" faking it because not bothering to rehearse and getting it together.
Do you watch these videos just to bitch?

who is the bass player ?
Debby Hastings - and his musical director as well
@@gchristian3915 Correct. She is actually a great talent.
Ron & Bo. What a great act. Ronnie is an outstanding talent. Should have formed his own band...not joined the Stones.
Why? It's what he always wanted,he always said he was going to play in the stones and he did,so ultimately he achieved his greatest ambition
He did, they're called New Barbarians...
I love it that so many famous players look up to people like Bo.
But who is that attention seeking jerk in the suit?
He refuses to acknowledge how great PILLS was. he won't do it . not a Dolls fan? name band members please
harp sucks - ever !
