I have a very good analogy for this scenario. Our history is like that of pandavs in Mahabharat. 1. The Islamic and the Christian rule of India was like pandav's vanvaas. As per my understanding, the idea behind the 40K extreme is not to start from a compromising position. The idea is to have a hard stance to make the other party come to the negotiation table.
I live in Malabar area of Kerala. Here almost every single temple had been once ruthlessly destroyed by that ruffian Tipu. Many were later rebuilt by Hindus but others were converted to mosques. I think 40,000 is a very very low number for the whole of India it is more likely to be in lakhs. 😡😡

I don't agree with Kushal, he is unnecessarily distracting the movement. We already have the heinous law of waqf board, there needs to be a equally fast and powerful law for Hindus to reclaim our lands with final settlement. The 40K number is just nominal in terms of describing the size of the task, no need to be hung up on it.
The obvious answer was a repeated pattern of destruction - this has been documented sometimes on the new structures itself in forms of inscription or in the accounts of court historians, bards where they praise the Almighty for aiding the heroes in this “holy act”. Goel and team did a preliminary survey of 1000s of structures across the country and has provided a list of such monuments state by state where it is quite clear that they were Hindu/Buddhist structures before. The list starts at page 70 and ends around page 150 with 15-20 structures mentioned on each page thus taking the number to 1500+. This is only the preliminary survey, there could be many more. These can be independently verified too. The pattern of destruction in any conquered area was thus: 1. On conquest, go on a destruction spree of every temple/monastery in site. 2. Since the temples were beautiful and had lot of good material, many of the pillars, stones of these temples were reused to build the replacement structures. Attached a picture of the Gyan Vapi mosque which was built by Aurangzeb in Varanasi on what they say is the original Kashi Viswanath temple. Notice the almost half split between temple and mosque structures. 3. The idols in the temples were either buried in the steps leading to the mosques so that the faithful could trample on them or used for multiple other purposes. 4. Brahmins were specifically targeted and killed to unnerve the local population. 5. Many a times, places were reoccupied by Hindus and temples would be rebuilt on new sites. The Hindus would never touch the masjids or mazars in this areas though, this is by account of muslim historians. 6. If the Muslims recaptured these areas, the temples were destroyed again. This cycle went on and on for centuries. Every once in a while, a supposedly “secular” sultan came and loosened the reins a bit which meant temples weren’t touched but this could easily be calibrated up and down based on the compulsions that the ruler would be under i.e. pressure from the clergy. This pattern of destruction transformed cities tragically. Bukhara, Samarkand, Balkh, Kabul, Ghazni, Srinagar, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Patan, Ajmer, Delhi, Agra Dhar, Mandu, Budaun,Kanauj, Biharsharif, Patna, Lakhnauti, Ellichpur, Daulatabad, Gulbarga, Bidar, Bijapur, Golcond-to mention only a few of the more famous Hindu capitals-lost their native character and geography. (Direct quote from book) On the other hand, a large number of cities, towns and centres of Hindu civilization disappeared from the scene and their ruins have been identified only in recent times, as in the case of Kãpiî, Lampaka,Nagarahãra, Pushkalãvatî, UdbhãNDapura, Takshilã, Ãlor, Brãhmanãbãd, Debal, Nandana, Agrohã, Virãtanagara, Ahichchhatra, rãvastî, Sãrnãth, Vaisãlî, Vikramsîla, Nãlandã, KarNasuvarNa, PuNDravardhana, Somapura, Jãjanagar, DhãnyakaTaka, Vijayapurî, Vijayanagara, Dvãrasamudra. Best thing to do is just forget about the number. Don't count the temples to be reclaimed. What is most important for the state and the society is to make sure that any person or a group of people, small or large should be able to pursue the reclamation smoothly without any legal, political, economic, religious roadblocks put on.

There is a basic difference between a temple and a mosque is that temple is home to deity while a mosque is only a place of congregation which can be done at anywhere.

Separate Reclamation Tribunals should be set up for speedy dispossl of cases. Anyone aggrieved, whether Hindus, muslims, Christians, sikhs, Buddhist, etc, can petition here. There can be legislation stating terms and conditions necessary to file petition for reclamation, which theory is acceptable and appeals to ordinary men.

Yes we can’t be concerned with Islamic fears because we will do it based on actual evidences by Hindus and a sense of continuity in practises or demands over a historical period if that exists. For me if we have a good amount of proof provided by asi that there was a temple before any other thing we are gonna take that. I don't care if our 200 year ancestors did puja or not. Because once a pran pratistha of a deity happened it is the place of the deity. Why is Kushal picking the number thing? When someone says 40,000 it simply means every temple must be reclaimed. It is called nitpicking.
So, according to Kushal's logic, if Hindu society agrees to abandon all claims, including the Mthura, the claim for Kashi becomes stronger, and recovering it by Hindus becomes simpler. Saying 40000 is ok for online rhetoric, but it's stupid for optics and actually doesn't show sincerity. These battles have to be fought in court by law. A 3rd party doesn't care how passionate you are about temples and that's why you keep repeating 40,000. It has negative effects and the religion,movement becomes target for mockery and dismissal. And then people cry that NYT,Wapo etc and even other unbiased foreign journalists don't understand India etc. All people see from outside is absurd claims.
The message sent to 3rd parties is "well if you're lying or over-exaggerating about this claim, what else are hindus lying about and should I align support with them? Was the other side claiming victimhood actually correct?". You don't want that kind of situation. Be reasonable.

We already have the heinous law of waqf board, there needs to be a equally fast and powerful law for Hindus to reclaim our lands with final settlement. The obvious answer was a repeated pattern of destruction - this has been documented sometimes on the new structures itself in forms of inscription or in the accounts of court historians, bards where they praise the Almighty for aiding the heroes in this “holy act”. Goel and team did a preliminary survey of 1000s of structures across the country and has provided a list of such monuments state by state where it is quite clear that they were Hindu/Buddhist structures before. The list starts at page 70 and ends around page 150 with 15-20 structures mentioned on each page thus taking the number to 1500+. This is only the preliminary survey, there could be many more. These can be independently verified too.
The pattern of destruction in any conquered area was thus:
1. On conquest, go on a destruction spree of every temple/monastery in site.
2. Since the temples were beautiful and had lot of good material, many of the pillars, stones of these temples were reused to build the replacement structures. Attached a picture of the Gyan Vapi mosque which was built by Aurangzeb in Varanasi on what they say is the original Kashi Viswanath temple. Notice the almost half split between temple and mosque structures.
3. The idols in the temples were either buried in the steps leading to the mosques so that the faithful could trample on them or used for multiple other purposes.
4. Brahmins were specifically targeted and killed to unnerve the local population.
5. Many a times, places were reoccupied by Hindus and temples would be rebuilt on new sites. The Hindus would never touch the masjids or mazars in this areas though, this is by account of muslim historians.
6. If the Muslims recaptured these areas, the temples were destroyed again.
This cycle went on and on for centuries. Every once in a while, a supposedly “secular” sultan came and loosened the reins a bit which meant temples weren’t touched but this could easily be calibrated up and down based on the compulsions that the ruler would be under i.e. pressure from the clergy.
This pattern of destruction transformed cities tragically. Bukhara, Samarkand, Balkh, Kabul, Ghazni, Srinagar, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Patan, Ajmer, Delhi, Agra Dhar, Mandu, Budaun,Kanauj, Biharsharif, Patna, Lakhnauti, Ellichpur, Daulatabad, Gulbarga, Bidar, Bijapur, Golcond-to mention only a few of the more famous Hindu capitals-lost their native character and geography. On the other hand, a large number of cities, towns and centres of Hindu civilization disappeared from the scene and their ruins have been identified only in recent times, as in the case of Kãpiî, Lampaka,Nagarahãra, Pushkalãvatî, UdbhãNDapura, Takshilã, Ãlor, Brãhmanãbãd, Debal, Nandana, Agrohã, Virãtanagara, Ahichchhatra, rãvastî, Sãrnãth, Vaisãlî, Vikramsîla, Nãlandã, KarNasuvarNa,

Separate Reclamation Tribunals should be set up for speedy dispossl of cases. Anyone aggrieved, whether Hindus, muslims, Christians, sikhs, Buddhist, etc, can petition here.
There can be legislation stating terms and conditions necessary to file petition for reclamation, which theory is acceptable and appeals to ordinary men.

As for the mosques, not all should be demolished. They also need a place to worship but if there is substantial archeological and cultural evidence of a temple or another religious place there being demolished to build it, in that case it should be rebuilt into a temple and the equivalent land at another place should be given to Muslims for another mosques.

Very nice podcast with clear criteria and arguments put forward as to how we can proceed at places of worship for Hindus especially if there is continuity of practise and evidences. Yes we can’t be concerned with Islamic fears because we will do it based on actual evidences by Hindus and a sense of continuity in practises or demands over a historical period if that exists. All evidences, even written etc. should also be taken into consideration. It was refreshing to hear clarity of thought so well done to all 3 podcasters 👏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽

For me if we have a good amount of proof provided by asi that there was a temple before any other thing we are gonna take that. I don't care if our 200 year ancestors did puja or not. Because once a pran pratistha of a deity happened it is the place of the deity. That doesn't mean that if we have even a small proof we will do it no we must have a detailed asi report before proceeding in the matter
