Thank you for sharing that you got an offer almost immediately for about 82% of spot. That information is useful. Either sell them in bulk lots or separate any costume jewelry with designer names and sell separately. Bulk sales sell decently for costume jewelry if people see there are designer names mixed in.👍

Thank you for the valuable information But I have one question what if the buyer want to return the product and he change it with other product? It's so dangerous if nothing will protect you from bad buyers!
If somone returned a different item you can take a picture of it, contact the buyer and tell them they sent the wrong item, and notify ebay. The buyer may still get their money back from ebay, but the seller will also not have to pay. And the buyer will be placed on a a bad buy list or possibly terminated from using ebay. Mostly rolled gold or fold filled is generally 1/20 gold so deduction would be 20% of the gold content. As for gold plate. There is not enough to worry about. Just list and sell the item like any other.👍
There are a few websites that I check for the price of gold on the day I take in my jewelry. The websites all give the same prices but varies in cents. I go to the jewelry store and I tell them how I calculate my prices (based on the gold websites) The 1st thing they would tell me is that is not accurate and I should not depend on those website. There is plenty of gold out there at reasonable prices. It just takes a finding the right people and places to locate gold for melting and reselling both. Thanks for watching and commenting.😁👍
Good question... 20 means it's 1/20. This means it's 0.05 (or 5%) gold. The 12k is the type of gold, while GF means gold filled. So the jewelry piece is 5% filled with 12k gold. It's not much but still worth something. 😁👍
Thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos. It's very much appreciated. I have another question. As we know, dealing and working with eBay customers can be tricky. What shipping method do you use? and how do you package your items? Thank you in advance.
@@bigboybuilder77 I use USPS and UPS. Since I sell a lot of different items (both weights and sizes) the packages vary. It's always priority and the new ground advantages for USPS, (which now has combined first class). I'm not sure if this answers your question.
@@RKTreasureCenter ok. I'm just worried about screwing up. I'm afraid of selling my ring at the moment. It's value is $3,700 Canadian and not sure where to start the auction at. Then what if it goes missing or they say they never got it?
The hardest thing to do is sell gold on facebook market place. I sell my gold on ebay and do pretty good. However since it's a Tiffany ring you will want to make sure you can prove that with papers. If you can, then I would keep trying to get the price you want. It may take a while, but be willing to take good offers as well. Mostly people want to buy for fold weight. However there are different mens Tiffany gold rings selling on ebay between 500 and 1000. Again you have to keep trying.👍

Now that's is awesome. 😁👍
What does 2012kgf stand for?
Good question... 20 means it's 1/20. This means it's 0.05 (or 5%) gold. The 12k is the type of gold, while GF means gold filled. So the jewelry piece is 5% filled with 12k gold. It's not much but still worth something. 😁👍
@@RKTreasureCenter awesome, thank you for the quick reply.
If you start your auction at 99 cents .... but if someone bids really low? Then the auction ends.....what happens?
It's sold. I generally have not had this issue, but some sellers will put a reserve price as a minimum amount they will let the item sell for.
@@RKTreasureCenter ok. I'm just worried about screwing up. I'm afraid of selling my ring at the moment. It's value is $3,700 Canadian and not sure where to start the auction at. Then what if it goes missing or they say they never got it?
@@jacqueline4749 have no worries. You can always mail the item with shipping insurance and be sure there is a tracking number for delivery.
@@RKTreasureCenter thank you. I'm going to work on my listing now. Thank you for your support 🙏
I have a Tiffany man's wedding ring I would like to sell,I looked it up and its $1500 new, on market place and Facebook now but no bites yet. Help 🥴
Again you have to keep trying.👍
pretty sure the spot for that item was $227 per 6.5 grams of 14k on a troy ounce on jan 22,2021 gold price was$1854.00
It could have been.👍

How does gold taxes work
Just like any other income of purchases and sales.
28% of the difference that you bought and sold for. So keep a record of what you paid or you may have to pay on the total amount the item sold for.
