Because there are people who are genuinely unable to get the vaccine and there such things as variants that could develop vaccine resistance if allowed to spread unopposed by the unvaccinated. So by not getting a perfectly safe and quick vaccine, the unvaccinated are putting those genuinely unable to get the vaccine at unnecessary risk from a deadly virus and also putting everyone else at risk by allowing the deadly virus to spread and therefore mutate and therefore increasing the risk of vaccine resistant variants which will put us all back to square one. ONE QUESTION: PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY SOMEONE WHO HAD COVID SHOULD GET VAXXED? NATURAL IMMUNITY IS BETTER THAN THE VAX (ACCORDING TO THE ISRAELI STUDY AND MANY MORE)

    • @KermitFrogThe
      @KermitFrogThe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

COVID is unusual here. Bear with me I am a nerd so while I hate the topic, I enjoy learning this stuff.
Ordinarily you would be spot on. When a brand new infection comes into the body the immune system doesn't just adapt to protect against that infection but others of it's type, the variants. So if you get a standard cold, you will be protected against this and many other variants of the same virus.
We've had millions of years doing this and the human body is very good at it. However pretty good isn't perfect and sometimes we get it wrong, and COVID is one of those times. When you get COVID, the immunity adapts to it on a variant by variant basis, not covering any more of the spectrum than this.
So you can contract Alpha, survive it and become 80 - 85% protected from Alpha, not much less than provided by the vaccine at 85 - 95%. But if you are infected with any other variant like the faster spreading Delta this will need to be treated like a brand new infection, you will not be prefared for it.
If you catch Alpha at a time when life's good and the weather is suited to your immunity, that will have given you a better chance. If the second infeciton is Delta or one of the others and you are stressed at work, having a tough time at home and the weather has you down a bit too, the reduced health from this could mean this new infection has a more damaging impact.
This is pure chance. No-one could have predicted how the body would react to the variants of this disease. But the vaccine covers all with roughly similar effectiveness, our bodies don't.

If you have had natural immunity, you have antibodies for the complete virus, making it more robust. To state you get good viral protection is just patently incorrect and proved wrong by the percentage of vaccinated hospitalisations. For the record, I have had my other vaccinations through my life, as have my kids. We will not be taking this one. First, the survival rate is high enough that it doesn't worry us. Second, I have other mitigation resources available in case I do get infected (monoclonal antibodies) and statistically I am more likely to get COVID as a side effect of a vaccine. You will get COVID regardless of vaccine status. It's how you react to the early signs of infection that make or break how you end up.

I have a few questions about the covid vaccines:
    1) Why are they called vaccines when they don't contain a neutralized form of the original pathogen? Changing the definition of Vaccine ad hoc didn't answer this question.
    2) Since they work by making the body produce proteins, similar to the outer covering of the virus, and throwing them in the bloodstream, are these in any way toxic to the organism? Why weren't they called a treatment?
    3) Why are we so eager to vaccinate the young with these experimental things if only the elderly are really at high risk with covid? Wouldn't it be better for the next generation to get natural immunity and the current elderly to practice social distancing for self protection?
    4) Why are highly vaccinated countries and regions doing so bad this winter with covid? Why is more vaccines the solution, if they didn't solve the issue in the first place? Why is the whole of Africa generally ok with low incidence of covid? Literally the countries with most measures are the ones worse.
    5) Why are non vaccinated targeted? We should all be free to chose our own path in life. Many more people die on bikes than on cars per number of drivers, riders, but nobody is outlawing motorcycles. The vaccinated have the same viral load as the unvaccinated and probably spread just as much.
    6) Qui bono. Who profits.
    7) Is there any relationship between vaccine lot numbers and mortality? Just how high is the mortality rate on the vaccines? It seems to be there, there is VAERS data and there is european data too, more people seem to have died of these vaccines than all other, combined.
    8) Will the vaccines kill more young people than Covid? If yes, why proscribe them?
I'm not against vaccines as a scientific principle, I believe inoculation can, and probably has, worked many times. But ask yourselves, is the system honest and are the intentions of the people who control it good? Or to end this with one more question: Do you feel lucky punk?

That said though and btw I do agree with some of what you said but things like Africa for example tend to be less densely populated over places like Europe and East Asia. Also the more people get vaccinated the more they mingle and so on so the virus spreads as opposed to countries that are locking down and social distancing (no I don’t agree with lockdown but it is a fact that distancing does stop the spread of viruses).

Ah yeh people dying in road accidents and again I fully agree with you however people do need to go though a lot to drive. They need to pass a theory test, pass a practical test, if they get banned in those first two years then they have to do the whole thing again. Hey have to insure their car, they have to m.o.t their vehicle p, they need different licenses to drive different vehicles. They need to obey the speed limits, they need to wear glasses if they should, they need stop stop at red lights, they need to stop at zebra crossings, they need to indicate, they need to leave so much room, they need to make sure their tyre tread is correct, they need to make sure their psi is correct, they need to make sure all their lights are working, they can’t drive with any window frosted, they can’t have any snow of the vehicle, they can’t use hand held devices. The list goes and if they get caught doing any of those then it’s fine or prison. There’s a hell of a lot regulation not just around driving but anything that involves the potential to hurt someone else.
So what are the options? Lock everyone down again and force rules and regulations like with driving or smoking or whatever or allow people who have been vaccinated to run about? I agree it’s a personal choice and tbh unvaccinated people shouldn’t be treated differently or have freedoms stripped as you’re either an anti vaxxer so will never get it or you’ve already had it so what does it matter? So I completely agree with you however I’m just pointing out that unvaccinated people aren’t being picked on as opposed to drivers who really have very little freedom whatsoever.

Most of the people worried about a vaccine (this doesn’t include you as I’m sure you don’t) but most people worried all tend to smoke, snort cocaine, take mdma, smoke weed off some random drug dealer from Liverpool, eat heavily processed food, inject themselves with lip fillers, tanning injections and or steroids and then start having paranoid fits over what’s in a vaccine? I live with someone who smokes, I drink energy drinks and I’ve had more than the odd line so I have no right whatsoever to turn around and say I’m not getting vaccinated because I don’t know what’s in it when I probably snorting like 90% asbestos up my nose on a weekend when I was younger

Also infection rates are not mortality/severe disease numbers, they are infection numbers from testing. Vaccination saves lives.

The vaccine is purposely designed to reduce the severity of the symptoms if you DO catch it, so that you DON'T end up in an ICU on a ventilator, or with long-term COVID complications - *and that's exactly how it went down for you.* No-one ever claimed the vaccine's job was to PREVENT everyone who had it ever getting COVID, just like the flu vaccine's purpose was never to prevent people getting the flu. The only people who have ever tried to claim that is the anti-vaxxers, because they're too busy circle-jerking themselves for being Special Little Soldiers to bother doing any proper learning.

You do understand the potential known long term effects of COVID if you survive? Hearing loss, eyesight loss, damage to the nerves that help your vocal cords work, scarred lung tissue, scared heart tissue, damage to veins and arteries, brain scaring, damage to the stomach. Many of these are not temporary but permanent life long conditions.
If you watch Bake Off then I suggest the next time you do have a closer look at Mary Berry in particular her left arm. You might notice that it is thinner than her right arm. The reason is she caught the virus Polio which has also left her with a twisted spine. She wasn't vaccinated because vaccines weren't in existence for Polio when she caught it. There are going to be people around for years who will be suffering from what is termed long COVID and if you are unlucky then one of them just might be you.
Do you also realise that any virus can and will mutate? The flu virus that killed millions just over 100 years ago mutated into less dangerous far more difficult to spread virus and so died out. Conversely a virus can mutate into something that can be more dangerous in both it's nature and the age group it impacts. These variants can also merge to create another variant. So potentially the easy to spread Delta variant could merge with a variant that is more deadly but currently spreads slowly. This could result in a variant that is able to spread fast and is deadly. It could also produce a variant that impacts children more than adults. How would you feel if your children caught that variant and as a result were hospitalised?
Work began on SARS (COVID is a SARS virus) vaccines twenty years ago that is why they could produce a vaccine so quickly. So trials have been going on for twenty years so many of the potential long term effects are already known. The flu virus changes every year so in effect the annual flu vaccine is a new vaccine every year but we never hear of any long term effects of that.
Final question would you leave your children with a total stranger that you had never met? I'm guessing no. So why are you willing to take your medical advice for yourself and family from total strangers you have never met many of who hide behind anonymous names on the internet? Why are you willing to take your medical advice from people who just happen to have a product to sell you to protect you from COVID, products that have had no clinical trials whatsoever? Why are you willing to take your medical advice from people who have no expertise in the subject they are offering their advice on and why do they always make claims about people they know without ever been willing to give their names so you can check them out for yourself?
