Loved this kind of insight (as a former keeper of angora rabbits even more so) and way of getting personal recommendations that everyone watching can also benefit from! :) On how to say the designer's name "Maschenfein" as a native English speaker: "mah" (as in mature) + "shen" (as in shenanigans) + "fine" (as in fine which is also the translation of "fein"... with Maschen meaning stitches)
Hello Tayler, Greetings from cool and sunny Laval, Québec, Canada (Sweater weather is almost upon us...Yé!) This segment of your podcast is sooo delightful. Ideas for those precious, precious yarns we buy and then agonize what to do with....yeah! The Mininata gave me tingles in my fingers! I even shared it right away with my "tricopines" (that's French for knitting buddies) from the Knitsandpieces podcast. They will be tickled pink to get a hold of this pattern. I fell in love right away with the Shine mittens and realised when I wanted to include them in my bundles that they were already in my "Hands and Wrists" Favorite Bundle! And those two cowls....The Kindred is going to let me use the lovely skein of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool I bought at KnitCity Toronto last May (the colors were made especially for the event) and that I didn't know exactly what to do with. And the Static made me discover a designer I didn't know and whose patterns I find very appealing. She is now in my Favorite designer Rolodex! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the time and efforts you take/make in your podcasts. They are sooooo very appreciated!
Hello Tayler, 🌻I am from Germany and I love your channel. You do great work! Thank you for your efforts! 🥰Maschenfein is German and can find her on Ravelry under Maschenfein. Greetings and hugs from Germany 💚
Love, love your channel! Do you do tutorial/suggestions on how to take yarn we dont like and how to over-dye it into something we would love? I have a big batch of merchanise cotton yarn and i have a bunch of Baby Daletta wool that I grew to not love.
Thank you Maryann for sharing your gorgeous yarn. I love learning about different yarns and this was lovely. Please share what it is you chose to make. Can't wait. Thank you Taylor for another fun and informative video.
I love these “what shall I make with this” videos. I’m currently on a tangent from this, looking for a kidsilk shawl. I never thought of doing colorwork with mohair on teeny needles. Yum!
100% mohair takes me waaay back to my mom knitting a mohair short sleeved cardi made in intarsia (!) of many pastel colored triangles. She wore it for ages in many cold Wisconsin winter classrooms, and then my sister adopted it. Mohair! Awesome stuff. I hope the halo works well w the one/one color change in the mittens. Love this video. Thank you!
I was so distracted at the beginning because I couldn't figure out why your teacup was bleeding. Oh... dye... got it! lol. This is great. I love to see anything having to do with mohair, llama, or alpaca, as I have fleeces of each that I need to spin but I haven't yet determined what I want to do with them! And as an aside, your hair looks pretty today. :o)
Excited to see a video today! Wasn’t expecting one cause I thought your schedule was changing, nice happy surprise. ☺️ Fun video! I have an idea for your Ravelry Roulette videos. Would if you picked at random from your Friend’s Activity page or your Favorites? I think it would be a fun way to get inspo for new projects! 🧶
Loved this video, Taylor! Very informative and interesting and I'm going to use the leftovers from my completed Branches and Buds pullover to make the Kindred Cowl. So excited, thanks!
I love your vids and would not miss one. Right now knitting your Frankenstein sweater. I love the length of your vids. Those hour long ones seem just too much. thanks
I watched while working on my own stash busting project, the Tea Cosy Cardigan by Hook Mountain Handmade. It’s for a cardigan out of sock yard held double to make worsted weight. When I am done, I will still probably have enough sock yarn to knit a second one.
I have to admit I was very distracted the first few minutes by the red streaks on your mug. I was wondering if you had an accident with a chipped edge! Glad to see it was a dye mug and all is well in WNH land. Thanks for the inspo. I'm sure I have a few stash finds that need to be submitted.
Loving all the color work patterns. Unfortunately I’ve not attempted any color work yet. Do you have a pattern(s) that you would recommend for a first color work project?
I have beige color fingering weight cashmere and want to add one strand of mohair yarn to make a sweater, medium size. For mohair color, other than beige, what options would you suggest to go with this cashmere? Thank you!
Today I'm sharing patterns that would be beautiful knit with yarn from Marianne's (a viewer) stash!
Marianne here!! I just purchased the pattern for the Shine Mittens - they’re PERFECTION. I’ll let you know how they turn out!
Oh yay! I’m so glad those have inspired you Marianne! Please do let me know. And thank you for submitting your yarn photos to me. 😘
😘👌🏻
😊
Yay! Happy knitting! I'm sure they will be lovely!
I love those mittens too! Have fun!

Went looking for you since I hadn't seen you in awhile and my notifications had been turned off. Love the patterns.
Great suggestions!!

Love those mittens! Looking forward to to see how they turn out for Marianne !
I also love the mitten patterns in the book Saltwater Mittens ❤️🧶😄
She won the knitter lottery getting those on thrift. Jelly in the best way.

I love this video format. Is there a playlist of more of these? Thanks! I appreciate the background on the fiber as well as! Such a fun video.
The Mininata is sooo adorable! And you almost got the pronunciation for Maschenfein! Just pronounce the sch as a sh and you're good ;)
Yes, exactly. You pronounced it correctly the first time. :-) I love Maschenfein. I buy all my needles from them.
Thank you Maryann for sharing your gorgeous yarn. I love learning about different yarns and this was lovely. Please share what it is you chose to make. Can't wait. Thank you Taylor for another fun and informative video.
I would enjoy a follow up on what was chosen and knitted based on your suggestions.
Same! I will definitely be sure to share in a follow up video if they get back to me with what they choose. ❤️
I love these “what shall I make with this” videos. I’m currently on a tangent from this, looking for a kidsilk shawl. I never thought of doing colorwork with mohair on teeny needles. Yum!
Those mittens!!!! O my gosh!!!!❤❤
I have favorited all of those patterns. Great job!
Such great recommendations! Absolutely love the Kindred cowl. ❤
Loving your hair long Tayler!

LOL! When I first started editing this episode, I thought, "ew. it looks like blood. gross." I can see where that would be distracting!
I already have the mitten pattern but also like mininata. Great for leftovers.

Love the topic! I currently have a small herd of Angora Goats. I’m always interested in what I can create with their lovely fiber!
Loved this video, Taylor! Very informative and interesting and I'm going to use the leftovers from my completed Branches and Buds pullover to make the Kindred Cowl. So excited, thanks!
Oooh, great choices! I am really bad at knitting accessories, but I am sorely tempted after this 👍♥️
Loved your suggestions. Great ideas. ❤❤❤
Mininata has a larger sister - hinata! Also beautiful 😊 and did i mention mosaic knitting
Zia Sun symbol, I believe that’s what you were thinking of. 😉 great pattern choices here! All of these are very inspiring. 🎉
Great pattern choices
Blessings and crochet 🧶 awesome 💯

What can you knit will 100% linen or flax? I bought some hanks of both and they are so thin, I have no idea what I can make with it
Is that an old fashioned pencil sharpener on your table?
It is a pencil sharpener and I'm not sure if it's an old fashioned style, but I purchased it about two years ago. 😊
🧶
Nothing as it turns out! I'm sensitive to mohair, even the good stuff.
Um, can we talk about your mug?!!!
Isn’t it cool? It’s from JamPDX. They have super cute ones.
@@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS I’ve never heard of that brand. I’ll have to check it out.
