Realisticaly, if someone manage to be extracted after being sent in a hell of a mission it's a big boost in the moral of an army even as a nation. And we all know Super Earth is all about motivation. For democracy!!!
The old story of leave no man behind was once something we valued. Didnt matter if the risk was for one man. Take for example super six four Shugart and Gordon offered to go down to the crash site and protect the site even if everyone was dead until help could arrive because they didnt want them to mutilate their friends bodies or leave them stranded and wounded alone. It was a suicide mission. The only survivor being Mike Durant, they got him somewhere safe and fought until they were killed. Mike ended up captured for 11 days and was rescued. He went on to continue his career and they were given the medal of honor. In this video game world. Helldivers are essentially elite units in a Starship trooper book style militarism world with a facade of democracy, saving one man who completed a mission objective is a moral boost to the citizens of super earth and a great story to ramp up their propaganda as a Johnny Rico legend. It inspires the masses and keeps people signing up.
Impressive! I love the "Found something!" at 7:16 🤣 looks like you just looked over your shoulder, spotted a bile titan and was like, "Well... ain't that something."
That moment when there is a bug in front of you about to slap you. Then when you shoot him in the face to prevent that, you can can hear the click followed by "Mag's empty". Scary stuff.
I can only imagine how many failed attempts it took to pull that off. Impressive nonetheless. I've done this with automatons, but never seen anyone pull off a solo helldive with bugs before. Also learned that the shield gen actually works against some bug attacks, which the description for it directly states it doesn't and that it only works against high speed projectiles, so thats helpful.

When you constantly repeat them you can actually learn to press the code sequence in less than a second, sure sometimes you are pressing too fast, and make mistakes, but 90% I call reinforcement in half a second, basically the same with artillery strats, to a lesser degree for weapons and turrets, because I call them rarely so fingers didn't learn it yet.
Honestly extraction was hype af, I screamed when you had charger and titan right behind you and you juked TF out of the charger and dived and almost got away…..good damn run, soldier.
The lighting in this game really sells the terror. Being on a planet at night with low visibility and seeing the little shadow on a bug peaking through smoke is unlike any game. I swear this is the most repeatable game I’ve played in a WHILE.
Seeing this makes me feel so much better about myself when I struggle to complete a level 5 mission solo. I drop in and I'm immediately beset by literally everything. This game is simply not intended for you to really solo anything higher than like 5-6, cause holy hell the amount of bugs is insane!
This must be the only time the Democracy Officer says “you are the best” and actually means it XD Holy Democracy, that is some S-tier liberating there, Helldiver!
I love how after the all the objectives are completed and you die, they send down another clone to finish extracting. It's not about the bugs, it's about sending a message.
This is very inspiring. While the challenge was incredibly high, and there's some near flawless skills in some areas (Grenade launcher use, stratagem entry), you pulled this off even while repeating mistakes I make all the time in my own group dives where we struggle at difficulty 6 or 7.
How much xp did it end up giving you for that? Always wondered about just running it solo and just main objectives only just to see the total at the end :0
Thank you all for subbing, I will continue to spread democracy o7 🗳🤝🦅
Super good job that looked like a nightmare though 😆
