Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The band includes vocalist David Draiman, guitarist/keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren. Donegan and Wengren have been involved in the band since its inception, with Moyer replacing former bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak and Draiman replacing original lead vocalist Erich Awalt.

These songs are a bit different than how he usually sings though. To get a feel for the band, down with the sickness is the one they are most known for.

Simon and Garfunkel did the song originally in the 60's although it was quite different. Obviously they were impressed with David's cover as they do not let too many people cover their songs
Disturbed is certainly making history here! SO MANY people that had reacted commented on the touching and moving of their souls... And I thought, being such a DISTURBED freak, that it might have just been me. So glad to see these reactions. I'll never forget the one lady - she was a professional voice coach, and no matter how she tried, she just couldn't imagine the metal band doing it justice.... She sat there and began to listen. Not far in, she commented on David's voice saying she didn't expect such good singing. Longer story short, til it was over, she took off her headphones and just sat there quiet. Uuh,...Uummmm,....I don't even.... know.... what to....say. Literally speechless! 🎼🎶🤘🥀
Great job! Its excites me to see sincere reactions from someone who appreciates the song for reasons other than its a "nice song". I have read a lot of great descriptions from people about how this song "goes straight to their soul" and similar comments, which are exactly true. However, your quote about "wanting this song to seep into my marrow" really blew me away! Great job. Please react to more disturbed, but dont be surprised to hear them perfectly execute the music, whether its their hard metal, or some of the other interesting music they write.

I've seen interviews with David Draiman. He was trained as a Jewish cantor. I don't think he would approve of anyone being disrespectful of another person. Judgement is not your job.
