I think it's the mindset of the bihari people ( not everyone ) though.. I've heard so many times that the bihari people make mess out of any place they live ,for example if one bihari is running some short of business at one particular place but after sometime they bring so many of their relatives and friends and that I think have disrupt the dynamics of the local area in many cases.. and other thing is that they don't maintain proper hygiene like clean rooms and surrounding of the place they live.. and the funny real incident that occurred in front of my eye was that I happened to visit one tea stall that was run by one bihari uncle with his two sons.. what happened was two girls passed by his stall the girls wearing jeans and immediately that uncle said something to his I guess his regular customer they were all bihari.. his exact line was ' Agar bihar mai hota na toh acche se sabak sikhataa.. which made me really sad.. what if it was in bihar and in his village.. so I think mindsets of bihari also should be livel up.

We do not proud of Nalanda university, we proud of Bakthiyar Khilaji, we named a railway station after him. Bihari who are well educated, earning good money never go back to bihar and this is happening with west bengal also. When i was studying in school once class monitor was choosen by whole class because it was a government school only 25% students were actually interested in study. There were five candidates four from toppers and one back bencher. Backbencher won the election by getting 60% of vote. We choose leaders who look like us, think like us, work like us and belong to our community but never go for a leader who actually lead us for better, who things ahead of us and who lead us to prosperity.

Stop this bullshitting ! Since 1989 when we went out from Bihar , we have lived in Delhi, Chennai, and Bangalore. And never ever was meted out such things. Rather, I have met people of other states who are extremely fond of Bihar. One telugu guy got a posting at Patna in Industry department (GOI). He said to me that best years of his life were those that were spent in Patna. All praise of his neighbours & colleagues who were so full of warmth towards him❤
Is it not true that the whole till early 2000 people didn't even tell they are from Bihar? Growing up I heard all that, they definitely didn't say they are from Bihar and rather said they are from Banaras. In 2007 my cousin went to Nagpur and finding room wasn't easy just bcz if Bihari tag. Maybe you were lucky or maybe you didn't sound Bihari but just bcz you had it easy does not mean that didn't exist. My cousin too ultimately found a place and the landlady was very nice to him too. She treated him to food whenever there was any special occasion. But that's her quality. That wasn't Maharashtra in general. Also probably you didn't grow up reading newspaper but I did and I remember them. The time when Thakre ruled Maharashtra. They hated Bihari. Kota and Delhi had too many of Bihari students to get bothered by anyone so there it didn't matter. Talking about others experiences in Bihar, that's always going to be nice bcz that's not dependent on them, that's on the people living in Bihar.
I was never fearful. Never ashamed of my origins. Bihar is illustrious since the dawn of history. Nobody dared to demean me. We know how to deal with the crooks. And I never tried to change my tone (typically Bihari accent). And we have always garnered respect from others because of our friendliness, warmth, and mingling with others.
And of late, the trend of Bihari type of speakery has become an all-India trend. Bhojpuri in particular has mesmerized the width and breadth of the country.

I aggree we should not discrimination on basis state .but being marwari i wonder this not happen with us.The main reason i found is north Indian people never learn local language and not respect local culture.
