I was trained to be a Montessori teacher, fascinated by the play of a Waldorf classroom, inspired by the art and loose parts of a Reggio class. My classroom in Berkeley is a combination of all three Philosophies of early childhood. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

That sounds so cool! What is the name of your school? I am a teacher based out of the Bay Area looking to get into Montessori/Waldorf!!

I'll need to look and see how you do that because I am a Montessori teacher, but I feel similarly.

Thank you for this great short film. The teacher really talked about some essential things from Montessori. I'm a preschool teacher in a Montessori House as they are referred to here in Germany. And it would be nice to see some well made videos about Montessori also in German, because there are not that many. Thanks again and continue the good work :-)

Where can I find the song that started at the beginning of Montissori videos back in the 1990s when I took classes in Early Childhood Education, that had a child singing "La la la"? I really liked that song. I'd like a copy for sentimental reasons.

Good luck. Doesn't seem like they pay attention to the videos they post.

NOBLE They are super similar (Waldorf is too) but the main difference is Reggio’s emphasis on natural materials and creative play over Montessori’s emphasis on self guided academic-type “work”. Of course both still use principles of the other, but that’s the main difference I can see.

How come lower income families dont get something like this anymore. Montessori is only affordable to the affluent family.
