    The assistant was very polite to Rupert. She gave him her time to listen to his material, gave him constructive advice, and turned him down in a very courteous way.

    I love how she beats around the bush about how lame his act is ("we think you have a lot of potential"), because they are already wondering if this guy is a psycho. Or it could just be the standard brush off.

    • @flyingpenandpaper6119
      @flyingpenandpaper6119 5 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I think his act in the finale is actually not bad-not fitting for a King, but perhaps enough for a courtier. I think that's the point. As Langford says earlier, it takes years, but Rupert is so obsessed that he wants it now, he needs it now and he can't see why he can't have it now. Even though Cathy says sincerely that he could get there.

    I love how they keep getting Rupert's name wrong. Pumpkin, Pupnick, Pupper. The guy playing the security chief is probably a retired NYPD detective. Nothing is more embarrassing than being asked to leave a public place. I've been thrown out of a a few but it was because I was drunk, not crazy as Rupert is.

    I'm a guy, so I don't have a "dream wedding." But if I did . . . Jerry Lewis as my best man? Dr. Joyce Brothers as my wife's maid of honor? Victor Borge playing our wedding march? And my high school principal apologizing to me in front of the entire nation for underestimating me? THAT'S my dream wedding. Dom DeLuise, Nipsey Russell, and Norm Crosby as my groomsmen would be even better.
