The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. are probably two of the most important video games ever made - and they're both probably the two games I would say are representations of how to make and design a perfect game. Super Mario Bros. single handedly saved the entire video game industry from total annihilation. Zelda was really the first game to show off what video games COULD be - something more than an arcade experience. Lots of good games on here. I'm looking forward to revisiting Tecmo Bowl with my brother - 30 years later - on Christmas Day. It'll be so good! Some games I've never played - Castlevania 1 and 2, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Ghosts and Goblins: I wasn't allowed to have them when I was a kid. Guess mom and dad thought they were too mature for me. Back in the day, they definitely had a creepy vibe to them. Mega Man 2... I demand a rematch. I'm stronger, smarter, faster, and just generally better in all ways. I WILL destroy you! Vengeance WILL be mine!
My nintendo nes mini is coming to my granny's mail June 7 and I'm turning 15 in May 31st tue and once my game comes to my granny's mail my sister will bring it to my mom house june 7 when I get out of school see you mega man 2😀😃😄😁🎮🕹🎮🕹🎮🎮🕹

Awesome games ! The only thing i would really like,is this to be able to get an update (through USB or internet) to get some others games or if that is too much, replace ones you want in the future.
I only bought this for the Super Mario Brothers trilogy, which still hold up. The majority of the others (like Tecmo Bowl and Excitebike) are definitely a product of their time.
Is it me or do some songs have different notes from the original? Or just maybe different sound effects... Mainly listen to SMB3, Legend of Zelda 2, and Punch out... They all sound slightly off
I hope this system is upgradeable because i would like to add more games that interest me. Games that are missing from the system are paper boy, Tetris, ninja gaiden 2 and 3, all tmnt, trojin, contra 1, faxanadu and blaster master.
I hope they sell a capcom expansion with ducktales 1 and 2, little nemo, chip & dale 1 and 2, tale spin, megaman 3, darkwing duck, little mermaid and migthy final fight
Double Dragon 2 is Awesome on old Nintendo, i have one of these's, but have not hook it up yet, i got mine on 10-11-2016 for $99 Dollar's in Australia.
I always preferred that one to Gradius, but with only 30 games, I guess they had to make choices. I wish they'd included original Contra instead of Super C, though.
They should have started us off with 30 games and then added an online store to purchase more games..one game might be $3.99 another may be $4.99 or whatever....since everyone has their favorites and must haves...or if not at least given us about 50 games...there are a lot of big ones missing here. Contra and Double Dragon originals, Pro Wrestling, Blades of Steel, Kung Fu, PaperBoy, Double Dribble, any of the baseball games, Golf, Metal Gear, RC PRO AM or Rad Racer, Jackal, Commando or Bionic Commando, Millipede, etc. Just to name a few.
Frankly, they could have gotten rid of Pac-Man, both Donkey Kongs, and Galaga. The reason is because these weren't traditional NES games. Everything about them was designed to meet the limitations of older, less sophisticated hardware. This was what was so great about the NES - it allowed developers to completely rethink how video games could be made - nothing else prior or some time after even came close to competing. You can just tell by looking at them. There's something about the animations that are so static. I would much rather have seen something more interesting than these games. Maybe Rygar or Commando (alternatively Guerilla War.) Castlevania 3, maybe?! Seriously, why wasn't that on the list? The original Contra, Mega Man, Tiger Heli, Dragon Quest, R.C. Pro-Am, Blades of Steel, Ninja Gaiden 2, KUNG FU?!!! Lots of room in there to make some adjustments. Could have used maybe one more RPG, though to be fair, the NES was the era for the Action Platformer, so it's not like you're going to get a whole lot of variety anyway. Definitely would have put in Castlevania 3. Probably would have put in R.C. Pro-Am and Blades of Steel. And then, I'd have put in Dragon Quest 1. Those are my 4 I would use to replace the games listed above. Additionally, I probably would have replaced Super Contra with the original Contra, too. And probably would have done the same with Mega Man. It's just the purist in me. Hate having that skip in sequence... That, to me, would be a perfect list, though. To be fair, I'm not crazy about a few of the other games, but that is mostly because I don't know them that well. It's possible others do - like Balloon Fight or Bubble Bobble. But the ones listed above felt like games that aren't traditional, Classic Nintendo.

It's not going to have 700+ titles on it. But for around $200 you can get set up with an NES and a flash cart and play almost every game for the NES.
I remember when NES games were $99 ..... & that was ALOT of money back in 1987. And %90 of the time , kids would get bored of the game after 15 minutes & never play the damn thing ever again. YAY!!! NINTENDO !!!

I was 4 when I started playing NES. I had about 50 games and I would play them over and over till the Gameboy came out. I missed out on Super NES and Sega Genesis.
For Europe, they should have replaced Tecmo Bowl by Mario Golf (one of the exclusive games of Famicom mini), since American Football is only popular in America. The other game I don't like is Star Tropics, was that game ever popular at all? Why not Blaster Master instead? The other 28 games of the list are simply master pieces of retro gaming.
I'd exchange Dr.Mario for Snake rattle and roll. Mario bros is pointless if you got Super Martio bros 3. Do then a game like Life force instead of Mario bros. Techobowl Exchange for Super soccer. That game is hilarious
techmo bowl is the game that will be played the most overall. They could have gone a little more diverse though and added some more sports and racing games and dropped some of the fantasy/adventure games.
