@ 7:30 I was. Surprised to see you get off to climb. You are known to us as the girl who never gets off her bicycle. I am from north of Houston TX. You are also known for your start from a stand. I believe it gives you a more powerful first pedal stroke as you are climbing up.
You are the best Puck. Being English I love the little bits of English in the videos but I’d watch them anyway, I’m now hooked on women’s racing. Good luck, and most important keep having fun 😁

Those downhills have some seriously tricky parts. One with two little tops right before a corner that if you cake the second one you will not make the corner and don't look at the red padding of the trees! You will hit it! :-) Dank je voor het delen Puck and let's hope that there will be no steel pipes coming down in the race! :P Heel veel succes!
Hi Puck! This racing course is in Krynica Zdrój - one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in Poland. I hope you like it. There is plenty of epic bike trails all around, you can go there with your friends after the race and have fun. I cross my fingers you have a good race!

That's a long track, with a sting in the tail. Does anyone know why Fem Van Empel isn't doing the short track races? I'd have thought they would have suited her as she's fast and powerful in cyclocross.
She doesn't qualify for the xcc (yet). You have to be somewhere around place 40 in the overall UCI ranking to get to the xcc, and at the moment Fem hovers below 120 on that list. Let's hope she will score some more points in the xco races soon.
@@ToniBilella Currently Fem is 31st in the UCI rankings, so I'm expecting her to get a start on Friday. I'm surprised she's had such a bad year compared to Puck as they both should have started on fairly equal rankings.
@@jonb3311 I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. As of today Fem is 31st in the worldcup ranking and 113 th in the overall UCI mtb ranking. Only the first 16 of the WC ranking are sure to start the in the xcc. They are joined by the 24 best riders of the overall ranking, who are not one of these top 16 WC seeds. Let's suppose all of these 16 are also the top 16 of the overall UCI ranking, then the count starts at 17. 17+ 24=41, right? So place 113 is not going to be sufficient, sadly. And also: Fem is fairly new in cycling, she's only been seriously racing for some three years now. You can't expect her to be on the same mtb level as Puck that fast. But she conquered cyclocross in the wink of an eye, so I have high hopes for the future! Let's see what she can do in Val di Sole coming friday.

I can't help noticing some of the riders in short track racing are making up the numbers, start in 30th place and finish there every time!

I don’t understand the obsession with bmx track mtb racing ? The sport needs to get back to real mtb courses, proper lengthy climbing, technical wooded or rocky descents .
