BFDIA sucks, but I think post split is much MUCH worse. Post split had inconsistent animation, character derailment, sloppy script writing, needless amount of new characters, and gave certain screen-time to certain characters while others barely had any whatsoever. I can give BFDIA somewhat of a pass since the show was still relatively new, and was just getting started. But Post Split came out a full DECADE after the first season originally premiered. Which to me at least, is inexcusable. But hey, that’s just my opinion.

One thing I really don't like about bfdia: why is Golfball even competing for dream island when she can literally make one herself like in bfdia 4? that makes no sense, i still like the season though, although i like every other one more

I think BFDI, IDFB, and even BFDIA, regardless if had no structure, were the only good show they made. After those 3, it’s just been bad writing. Post-BFB split is just rushed and the Firey and Leafy drama was resolved poorly. They said TPOT would be have a “qualitative” animation style, but I don’t see it. The formula of the episodes are not enjoyable and all the voices just sound repetitive. I remember a scene in a newer episode in which Lighting was mad at getting eliminated, to the extent, that he was zapping his surroundings in anger. However, the voice acting for Lighting in that particular scene sounded so monotone and without emotion. The newer BFDIA episodes just ruin the nostalgic feeling of BFDIA. It is just filled with repetitive jokes and poor writing that does not compare to old BFDI. As of writing this, BFDIA 7 has already been released, so they are not stopping. I would stop watching, but I don’t want to give up on something that I’ve been watching forever.
I think BFDIA gets a bad rap because it really tripped at the starting line. BFDIA 1 and 2 are some of the worst, most filler packed episodes in the entire series. But I really do think past that, the season gets a lot better
