I really miss older object shows that didn't care about what people said about the show. It didn't have the best writing or animation back then but that's what I really like about it. It had heart, care, and charm put into the older shows. And while there are still object shows that still have that but it's very small. I wish more people would do 2010-2015 object shows again.
Hi jesoysauce, if you don’t already know me I am SMM, previous creator of The Optical and The Illusions. I don’t want to make this too long but I appreciated the recognition of my show and your honest advancements towards it. I just wanted to fill into why I decided to end the show so you can kind of fill in these blanks. It was determined by popular belief that retro guy “bullied me” which led to my channel closing. He did bully me, but he wasn’t the reason why, it just seemed like that in the community perspective. It’s a pretty silly reason but I actually closed the channel because I liked a girl 😂. Stupid right, well I realized more than that before deactivating my channel, that I was in a way embarrassed to become part of this community, even though I loved it. At the time I was a lot more worried about how people at my school would see me and it pretty much took a toll on my mental health. I realized that if I spent so much time on something I didn’t even want to be recognized for then what was the point of even doing it anymore? I didn’t want to be like the greats upon making this show, I wanted to give viewers a side story upon waiting for new episodes of BFDI and II back when they had a consistent schedule. People will still be mad for ending the show so close to the end, but love is a magical thing that sugarcoats everything about you. And at the time I was just really happy to have this girl in my life, and would do whatever I felt necessary to keep her in my life. Also the pressure of needing to make a more “presentable” object show kind of drew me past a line I was willing to be comfortable with, even though I was uploading a new episode every 2 weeks which sought no room for improvement. So yeah, I know you didn’t ask for this but I just wanted to say thanks for putting some light on it despite the cringe of it.

It’s honestly really surprising the BFDI is STILL going! Seriously the creators literally said them selves that it’s been around for 50% of their lives 0: probably even more now! episode 4 of TPOT came out recently and I’m really happy C:

Challenge to win is such a good show. The creator was just a kid when he made it. Even when he eventually became an adult he still managed to keep the shows sense of humor. And it didn't get cancelled! Which is pretty is pretty impressive for an object show with a pretty big cast. Challenge 2 win was also great. It focused more on blue planet's life and i think it's nice that the show has got brand new contestants to change things up a little. The second episode will probably never come out tho, which is really upsetting. Sorry for this long comment i just wanted to express my love for this show.

it's been almost an entire decade since i first watched bfdi and became an object show fan and i'm just liek . DUMBFOUNDED at how much olden day object shows i've missed and at how much lost object show media there is lurking somewhere out on the internet, so your video actually introduced me to quite a lot 0u0 seeing how some of these shows are still ongoing to this day is very inspiring to me ! ! ! plus this video made me feel very nostalgic for early 10s-youtube and for very early osc too, as well as, liek, setting out to uncover long-forlorn object shows and stuff, so tysm for putting this out ! kudos to you for this channel xDDD
I actually watched all of the land of the object episodes. I think there were 10 episodes. I think episodes 1-4 or 1-6 were animated in flash while the rest was just paper cutouts of the characters and the creator providing some of the voices while there were others who voice acted.

Sometimes when you start a project like this, it’s hard to keep it going until the end. Even with a whole team, it can be really hard to endure a whole season. Especially if it’s just a passion project made for fun and not for any greater reason.

Is it weird that I was expecting BFDI to be #2, & #1 to be some 90s TV slice-of-life comedy cartoon that stars inanimate objects with cartoony white eyes with black pupils instead of the usual of only showing the black pupils, & being hand-drawn in both animation, & coloring instead of being digitally animated, & colorized? I know such a thing *may not* exist, but I just had that thought for a moment. I put in emphasis on "may not" because who knows what wild discovery can show up that reveal that such a thing exists, thus taking me further down the 90s cartoon rabbit hole.

I made one of the oldest shows but sadly is now lost media as my old channel was terminated. I can provide some information. It was called battle of the objects. I made it like 8-9 years ago. The host was jeans! The reboot is on going on my channel. It featured a character called pluffball who was locked in the tlc in episode one. He turned evil in episode 3 but sadly was never finished. I had a season 2 called j.o.s wich started as a drawing show aswell. I switched to powetpoint a few months lqter. After the channel was deleted i uploaded the remenents of j.o.s here!its on my old videos

I think that 2013 was the best year for object shows as my favorites are Object Overload and Inanimate Insanity II. My object show kind of tries to replicate that style that I so nice and smooth even 10 years later.

Is it weird that I was expecting BFDI to be #2, & #1 to be some 90s TV slice-of-life comedy cartoon that stars inanimate objects with cartoony white eyes with black pupils instead of the usual of only showing the black pupils, & being hand-drawn in both animation, & coloring instead of being digitally animated, & colorized?
I know such a thing *may not* exist, but I just had that thought for a moment. I put in emphasis on "may not" because who knows what wild discovery can show up that reveal that such a thing exists, thus taking me further down the 90s cartoon rabbit hole.

@@kreeeeee I KNOW it did, I'm just saying that there might've been an earlier, drastically different attempt that didn't start a community, then out of nowhere BFDI came along, & started the community, & Jacknjellify would've probably never known about that previous attempt.

I made one of the oldest shows but sadly is now lost media as my old channel was terminated. I can provide some information.
It was called battle of the objects. I made it like 8-9 years ago. The host was jeans! The reboot is on going on my channel. It featured a character called pluffball who was locked in the tlc in episode one. He turned evil in episode 3 but sadly was never finished. I had a season 2 called j.o.s wich started as a drawing show aswell. I switched to powetpoint a few months lqter. After the channel was deleted i uploaded the remenents of j.o.s here!its on my old videos

I used to be obsessed with BFDI back in 2017
Cary revealed that in between the release of BFDI and II, there was an object show called total fruit island (made late 2010) but is lost to history
Objectify in battle for a trip to football world were found but they only had one episode because that’s all that was made
I understand why you dont really like Object Mayhem, but i think it has its great moments! My favorite episode is episode 9

I tried to look up the show "Objectify" but i couldn't find any videos or images of the show. They were all immediately deleted in the year 2012. there were really 2 object shows creaed in 2010 BFDI And Total Fruit Island! Total Fruit Island Is A Object Show Created December 2010 Day Uknown This Object Show Only Had 5 Episodes After Being Lost. Total Fruit Island Is Still Lost To This Day.
I think that 2013 was the best year for object shows as my favorites are Object Overload and Inanimate Insanity II. My object show kind of tries to replicate that style that I so nice and smooth even 10 years later.
