Chinese Roast Pork / char siu pork & fried rice| full recipe quick & easy

- ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs pork shoulder
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
1/3 cup oyster sauce
1/4 cup chinese cooking wine/rice wine
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp chinese 5 spice
1 tsp white or black pepper
2 tbsp grated garlic
2 tbsp grated ginger
3-4 drops red food color
glaze
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2-3 drops red food color
fried rice
4 cups cooked white rice
1 cup mixed vegetables
3 eggs add a pinch of salt & pepper to it.
1/2 cup diced onions
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp minced ginger
1 cup chopped scallions
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp fried rice seasoning
1 tsp black pepper

I did tried your other char sue recipe couple times and was a hit. It was restaurant style hun. But I will definitely try this recipes for sure. Love it remid me of Guyana fry rice with the roast pork🇬🇾 ❤

@@candythaglamcook I can cook all of it but never find good clean meat here most of the time I buy pork I got to return it lol but I saw you did food coloring I used the powder that the Chinese sell but didn’t like it too much I’ll try foid coloring so yummy send some over you in ct I keep forgetting I am upstate New York 💗

2 and a half times water to 1 time rice . Is what I was taught, and results in perfect texture. Meaning two and a half cups of water to one cup.of rice. Keeping in mind I use parboil rice.
For parboiled rice I would use 1 part rice 3 part water. For white rice I use 1 part rice 2 part water, I cook mine on very low heat, once the water evaporates it might look not done, I don't add any more water I let the steam finish it off and it's always perfect.

Every thing Candy is so 😋 but canola oil is very bad for frying cooking u can Google it Olive oil or avocado oil is the best for salad and cooking 🙏🏻
I don't cook atall with olive oil, burns too quick and can't stand the over powering smell, avocado oil is great but expensive. I go with what's affordable but of course any oil can be used here it's just a matter of personal preference and budget lol.

Wow, pretty good and delicious,but the rice always give me problem to cook,🤠 always comes out too pasy or soff😢
Do you ever try straining your rice instead of steaming it? Check when the grains are fully cooked firm but not underdone, then drain it through a rice Callander and run some cool water over it, let it sit in the fridge overnight, should have no issues.
